That's a book for learning how to play and sing his songs. At the top left it says Piano/Vocal/Guitar...didnt you see that? lol Just telling you what the description says, period. I kinda wish they'd release a Prince book focused on bass notation/tabs. That would be cool  It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I'm with ya - I'm a bass player. As noted in previous posts there are very few really funky Prince basslines - Let's Work, DMSR, 777-9311 are some of my favorites. But lots of times - just listen to the CD and you can pick 'em out. If I can do it anyone can do it. But I do have some of the sheet music for trying to learn piano/keyboard parts. Rock On. | |

I'm with ya - I'm a bass player. As noted in previous posts there are very few really funky Prince basslines - Let's Work, DMSR, 777-9311 are some of my favorites. Actually, yes!
I have a full tab book called Purple Rain: Off The Record (well it's in another city, but I do own it). It's full score, two or three stanzas per page. Here's the staves:
-keyboard (treble clef) -keyboard (bass clef) -guitar 1 -guitar 2 (when needed) -bass -drums All the solos are transcribed (though I question the accuracy of a few things). Also, it gives each instrument pointers on capturing the tone of each song. Look for it, it's really good!  |
