Prince - Space

Who's playing Bass on that cut on the album? Is that P? That's just a funky bassline...I LOVE it. Nobody can play a funky bassline like that!! Its tight!!

It is P or Sonny T. The credits list all tracks composed, performed..etc by Prince, however it then lists The Players and Sonny T is there on Bass.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

I think it is Prince on the remix and Sonny on the album version...but I could be wrong.

I agree...

and that is a really great song. But I do love just about everything on Come nearly to death (except for Dark & Orgasm... I wouldn't say "to death" for either of them)
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

yeah, come back and let us know what u think.

As for me, I've given 2 nights to listening thru it... and I need to break away and check into something more cheery... I think "Solo" pretty much swallowed me up in terms of what the album really means to Prince. Sure, I like getting inside his head, but now, I just want to listen to him in a cheerful, upbeat mood... cuz he believes music should raise up, not down.
But I'm crazy about it... a brilliant piece of work unlike anything I've heard him do to this point (and most likely won't hear anywhere else).

I remember not being to crazy about it but I was alot younger and what I loved then about Prine and what I love now about him is totally different so I may appriciate it alot more now...Thanks!

anyway, I wish u luck with that.
It took me a couple of listens to "get it," I think. But the feeling's mutual around here. I had this "idea" that it was supposedly dark compared to his other material... in some ways, yes... with dark=sad... Solo definitely is one of the saddest songs he's ever done.

But I don't think I've heard an album as tight as this one... today was the first time I listened to a few of the tracks seperately cuz it really works well as a whole. But I love the creativity of Loose, Papa and Letitgo had some unique sounds I've never heard, but he was definitely feeling the music when he wrote it. I'm still relatively new to this world, so I try to appreciate everything he does. As far, I haven't regretted any of my album choices... they have something diff. to offer. Come is just so unique that given some time, it has potential to be one of the best albums that express his talents that unlike anything I've ever seen before.
