Prince's Voice Nowadays.

Anyone kinda find his voice in Guitar a little...annoying?

Like the REALLY nasally sound of it?

I think it's just that I know what such a varied voice he has (been listening to Insatiable a lot) and I just hope that's how it's naturally become and he's not trying to restrain it at all for mainstream..

He sounded amazing at the Superbowl though...I'm confused..

I have this same issue, too. I just heard the complete version of guitar, and now, I am still pretty moderate with how I see the song and now his voice is a bit iffy. Have you been to the "3121" official website of his? I often hear a live version of "Satisfied" from his "3121" album" and I wonder who that person is talking before "Prince" kicks off singing the first verse of the song. The reason why I say this is because if it is "Prince", then, lets just say that his speaking voice has gotten a little husky.

I'm not saying that he has a bad singing voice persay. I'm actually speaking on his regular talking voice, which could very hinder his singing abilities when you think about it.

His voice was very high and nasal when I saw him in Vegas in February. It shocked me, actually, because he didn't sound that way on the Super Bowl broadcast the week before -- OR when I'd seen him in Vegas the previous May or in Minneapolis in February '06.

HORRIBLE TONE PEOPLE??? Firstly that makes so NO sense. Secondly, what a gross generalisation.

Elvis Presley
Roy Orbison
Freddie Mercury
Robert Plant
Jeff Buckley
Ian Gillan
Steve Perry

Amazingly gifted singers. And so many others...

Okay, well if "TIMBALAND" was found out about all of the "STOLEN" (OOPS!), I mean, "SAMPLED" works for having their many flaws, could you point them out? "Do It" didn't belong to him, nor did he receive the proper permission, if any at all. Oh, and you want to know the worse thing about it all? HE KNEW IT, WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!! mad

His voice has ALWAYS been nasal in certain registers. In fact, some moments during the '86 shows (when he's talking mainly) are unlistenable IMO, also during the SOTT video.
