Yeah - conjecture, the pair of u.

way too much make up in that video, looks bizarre.

the song sounds better too

The chorus is stil a complete rip-off of the beatles back in the ussr

Up yours. There is no conjecture here. Check yourself, fool, and keep your ears open, if U can.

How about until you're ready to share some actual information about what you know, you just keep it to yourself. And the rest of us will go with what's been presented to us. Cool?

I don't see anything wrong with suggesting that folks should be happy with what they hear when it all goes down, based on what I KNOW.
I HAVE kept it 2 myself, because I must, and because I have respect.
I hear U though.
It'll all come out in the wash soon enough, right?

Do you know how many wack jobs in the last 12 years have come onto the net pretending like they know something about Prince and his new work when it's clear that they don't?

So, unless his album turns out to be folk, or jazz, or classical, then I'm going to disregard your vague, uninformative hints and assume that we're in for more of the same Musicology/3121-style classicist Prince with the Planet Earth release. Because the lead single does not in any way, shape, or form indicate otherwise.

If that's not the case, I really don't care. But unless you have something real to share, you're vague musings on how wrong everyone's speculation is really aren't welcome.

Raze, I'm not taking sides here, but if you've been around the org for any time, you'll know that Giovanni knows what he's talking about and does indeed have inside information. You're right that many people claim to have info when they don't, but G is the real deal. I understand your frustration about insiders being vague, but unfortunately, that's the way it is. If insiders share too much, they're not insiders for much longer.

That said, I remember hearing back in '98 from people who'd heard a Mad Sex, Come On and The One that NPS was going to be his best album since Sign "O" The Times (I'm dead serious, and it seemed, so were they). I've learned since then not to have my expectations of a Prince album shaped by what other people say until I've heard the album myself. I'd still find out all the info I could about an album like TRC, but I didn't go in with sky-high expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised. Between now and July 7th, you're going to hear a whole lot of expectation-building; you might be right to disregard what others say, but that doesn't mean you need to shoot them down for it.

That would be me.

I really didn't like it in those other photos but in the video, they get it at it's better angles. I think if it didn't have the church lady bow, I'd like it much more, especially since he's got the casual sportswear top stitching and casual shoes/sneakers (both of which I do like). A wider band would have made the difference. Other than that, the entire outfit is nice.

I have to hear the the whole song, but I prefer the demo vibe of the original version. The guitar had that old "Dirty Mind" tone and the drumbeat was more danceable. This version is more straight forward rock-n-roll. Of course I'm looking forward to anything Prince records.

Giovanni always says he has inside information, but doesn't share it. That's different from actually having information. The whole "I know something, but I can't tell" is tired. If you can't tell, then don't say anything. People that do know something that they can't tell don't say anything at all. Or they tell friends that they can trust, privately, what they know. They don't go on websites and drop vague, unverifiable hints about how "in the know" they are and then don't say anything. People like that are attention seekers, whether they really do know something or not. shrug

Why do you dudes get worked up about inside information? Be patient, be mature. You'll get it when you get it.

And when you get it, it'll be a surprise. Surprises are great.

Yuck no...the lyrics just don't fit tempo of the song and sound hastily written. The music also sounds like it was thrown together. Its terribly boring and derivative of much better songs like "Cream" or Girls and Boys. Production is plastic and uninspired (again see G & B as a reference to when Prince did interesting things in the studio).

He's totally lost it, I'm afraid.

Is this info you have as solid as when you said a new album was coming out in like, April? lol

Anyway, sounds a lot better than the crap version he released but it doesnt sound like its gonna be anything more than Fury Pt. II.
