Just because they didn't perform classical moves in the videos with Prince, a classically well-trained dancer is very obvious, even when doing more modern or hip-hop dancing. All I'm saying is that it was obvious to me that they were very trained, controlled and precise in their movement (I'm a former dancer so I can appreciate that skill). I'm not saying the twins aren't trained but the way they dance is sooooo spastic and imprecise that it makes me nervous just to watch them. I don't love them or hate them but to me they are an annoying distraction when dancing next Prince cuz their movement is so jarring and I've seen them live and up close 6 times in Vegas. However, in the videos with D&P they were smoother and blended more with what Prince was doing at the time. They didn't take too much attention away from him but then I never saw them live and it could be vastly different. Also, the fact that Diamond is choreagraphing shows on Broadway indicates that she was classically trained and Pearl also speaks of her training on her site. Just making a point. . . Couldn't find an official webpage for Diamond. I think Diamond and Pearl were great for Prince when they were them. And I think the Twins give something to Prince now that he needs. "Diamond and Pearl", but that's because they fit in with that album soo well. Plus, I thought that they meshed well with Prince. I wouldn't even put the Twinz above Prince's solo dancing ladies, ie Cat and Mayte. They just don't fit into anything that he does. I just think they are rather pointless. I didn't even notice them at first, and then they started having all those body spasms that they insist on calling dancing. Plus, they flip their hair a little too much for me. I HATE EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF HAIR FLIPPING!!!!  Prince Rogers Nelson

Me too. The Twinz annoy the hell out of me, to be honest. Don't like them at all. I liked Diamond and Pearl much better. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |

I thought that for a while, not very long but a while. but then I watched the Diamonds & Pearls DVD and you can tell in the videos they stared in. (Gett Off, Cream, Diamonds & Pearls, and Strollin) Don't sweat it. I don't really pay attention to The Twinz. I suppose Diamond & Pearl. but back then, I probably would have choose Pearl all her own. For some reason I liked her better? Not sure why though.  | |
