things have changed since Prince was inducted

i've noticed how things have changed since Prince was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of fame after years of having to defend myself as a Prince fan finally that doesnt happen anymore and its like its cool now to like Prince...you even notice it now
when you read peoples comments on youtube or on amazon people truly have much more respect for Prince now than they ever did...i mean there was a time in the late 80's that i really felt like an outcast just being a Prince fan and took alot of ribbing now its like if you say something bad about Prince now you get the ribbing smile i'm just wondering if getting elected to Hall Of Fame just made people realize its ok to like Prince now
Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3

I still don't bring it up to most people...Prince is cool to us, but my family and circle of friends have very closed minds when it comes to him.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I think doing a Classic Rock song was the key. Also playing that guitar, whenever Prince wants to make another $87 Million for the year, PLAY Guitar Solos on Award Shows.

simple as that.

i think that he's kinda been 'flavour of the month' especially within pop/hip hop circles, name dropping and the like. it does fuck me off but it has become 'cool' to like Prince. 'artists' (very loose term) seem to think it makes them 'cool' to appear to be into a legendary musician, and now he don't seem so weird to everyone, it's ok to like. don't remember everyone name-dropping in the days when everyone thought he was a freak and stuff, i even remember a hip hop artist saying he was convinced Prince was a homo' because of the way he dressed.

he's been flavour of the month before, it just don't normally last forever. the public definately view him differently, when he seems more down-to-earth. it's only his strange ways that put people off.

still, we don't really want him to be the most popular guy in the world, do we? maybe he's decided that it's time for him to do so?

I don't notice much of a difference around these parts. It never got "cool" to like Prince here.
