Does anyone remember the story of Prince riding with a fan? I seem to recall a story from possibly 13 years ago, may have been in Controversy magazine, of Prince riding in a fan's purple car.
Does this ring a bell or can anyone validate it? | |

it's true. If I'm correct the story took place in Hamburg. The german girl in question was a diehard fan just like the 3 italian girls who travelled after P during concerts. She had a Renault 4 of Beetle with the word Prince written on the side. I thought it was white but maybe it was the follow up car. She was parked near a club or hotel. Prince jumped into the car and was escorted by the limo. Can you imagine Prince in a car with Prince written all over it. You wouldn't believe it... [Edited 10/10/06 11:02am] |

Common, Prince did so many things the audience does not know about it. When tickets went on pre-sale in the 80's, I think in Rotterdam, he was dancing/standing on the roof of his limo near the ticket boot.
Or maybe he was just sticking his head out of the sun roof, but it is a fun story nonetheless. | |

Or maybe he was just sticking his head out of the sun roof, but it is a fun story nonetheless. I think it was Amsterdam at one of the few spot in the Netherland that sold real tickets at that point. The limo driver wasn't to happy with it as the heels made scratches on his roof/hood. |

i remember prince doin this interview and he drove the ford tbird-the one in the alphabet street video and the journalist whatever his name is was somewhat pissed cos prince was just mumbling stuff 2 himself. thats all i know bout prince ever drivin wit anyone. | |
