"She Loves Me For Me" is kind of one of those "our songs" for us
.....But I did sort of bash her ears with Prince a lot and I was a little selfish at times and wouldnt play anything else in my car etc.....Funnily enough, after a year or two of being together, we started having Prince Nights.....Every other Saturday I would get the Vinyls out and we would blast Prince music and drink lots of wine and I would get into Debt on Ebay !!!!! lol


Oh....I have been stuck 22 years !!!!! lol.....I do like other music, but Prince is always the Musician I listen to most.

Yeah, that one, too. I've just never considered it a bona fide Prince album. Even tho' it is. Kind of.

Well.....apparently there is a clause in the Life Insurance she took out on me that I didn't know about..... lol

Seriously, she sorts of understands me on this. Some guys wanna drive fast cars - some guys wanna collect stamps.....for me it has always been Prince. Hell she even went out and bought me some Prince Rarities for Christmas a couple of years ago.....crafty buggar even snuck into my Ebay account to ask those I buy from what is special etc.....I guess I got my perfect woman wink

What more could I ask for ??? wink

After "Batman", I begin listening to just specific songs off of albums. For instance, "Emancipation" has about one disc's worth of songs I enjoy.

I don't think I'll ever listen again to "NEWS", "Rave", "Rainbow Children"... Pretty much anything after "Crystal Ball".

I don't mind slow jams, but one is good enough for me
like International Lover on 1999. It fits where it is.

I didn't dislike it but it didn't do anything for me. I decided to listen to it again very recently and I really enjoyed it. I realized that it's a fantastic debut album. I've been listening to it more in the last month or 2 but comparing it to 1999, it's one of my least listened to P albums.

I really hate Emancipation, but the other ones are on the list because I'm basically ambivalent about them and just sort of forget they are available for me to listen to. Even when I think I want to listen to them, they usually end getting passed over for something different when I go to the cd shelf. shrug

I stopped listening to prince on a consistent basis back in 98, however, i do get in my moods and will play a tune or two from the various albums.

Private Joy
The Dance
Love
Still Will Stand All Time
Why Should I love You
Mountains (long version)
If I Was Your Girlfriend
Greatest Romance
Where ever you are (or something like this off of the rave album)

These are the only songs i listen to while in those rare moods. The rest of it i haven't touched in years.
I can be a true friend, or a worthy adversary. The choice is yours.

I feel weird when I listen 2 New Power Soul but I can listen 2 it. There ain't other record I can't listen 2. I don't listen 2 1999 as much as I can but that's because of the ''time factor'' it's 2 damn long, amazing, but long. And perhaps, NEWS which is a bit boring. Well, that's just ME, FUNKY alex.

I always have time as long as I have a desktop with iTunes on it. But sometimes you just are so busy you're not really concentrating on the music even when it's on.

Its wierd, but even when I am on here (The PC ) I do not always listen to music!!

I guess though, with 2 Kids running riot all evening, it is nice to have the quiet after they go bed, no noise.... lol
