Then again...maybe it's about the artist's like Avant, that criticize him. Maybe he's telling them that he paved the way for them(parted the sea) and that they're still drinking from his musical influence ("brought forth water")....even though they're not fit to stand next to him ("I don’t know who told U U could stand next 2 me").

Still somewhat odd.

But then it could mean that the public is:

Even if it is a woman, it's probably someone that doesn't really have substance:

Seem to be saying he can tell by this persons attitude that they think it's all surface/skin deep. Maybe that they could get over with looks and studio tricks etc...
This works even if the words are "chemic appeal "/something that could be fabricated.
