A Question about Let's go Crazy (Special Dance Mix) This is an excellent extended version. Around the 3:45 min mark of the track you can hear Prince's vocals in the background. Does anyone know what he is saying?

I believe so. I always thought it was a bit creepy the 2nd time around. "I'VE GOT A MIND FULL OF GOOD INTENTIONS

It really does not sound like it. I bought Prince Ultimate on Puretracks.com 03/12/06 before the compilation was pulled. I love the extended tracks, they sound excellent. I have been listening to it constantly since. Anyway, the background vocal has always made me wonder She's always in My Hair (extended) and Raspberry Beret (Extended 12") are just great songs

well, i bought it when it first came out on vinyl in 1984 and i've been listening to it for a heck of a long time...it's gotta be one of my favorite extended versions...and it's always sounded to me like he's mumbling the same words that he says at the beginning - "dearly beloved," etc.

you can very clearly hear him say the word "afterworld" before it splits off into that weird piano break. Yes, I bought it in 1984 (vinyl), but it has been years since the demise of my turntable. Having a digital version of it is beyond wonderful. it is one of my favorite mixes too.

'computer voice' during the repeeated sermon speech in the piano solo actually says "The Revolution". So the section should read like this (the computer voice parts are in brackets, the rest of it is what Prince says)... Dearly beloved We are gathered here 2day 2 get through this thing called life Electric word life, it means 4ever and that's a mighty long time But I'm here 2 tell U there's somethin' else (The Revolution) The afterworld (The Afterworld) That's Right Thanks, Boris. I'll have a listen back and pass it on. Currently working on 3121 - but suggestions for amendments / rectifications / clarifications from past transcriptions are always welcome ... similarly, I'm passing on ideas from a recent HQ thread for the very faint spoken words buried in the mix midway through 'Last December'. . .[/quote] [Edited 4/1/06 3:02am] ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. I guess those lyrics won't be something like "man, I wanna fuck so bad!"

They do that sometimes. Like I am almost certain that the line of Electric Intercourse they have listed as I feel some kind of sexual courage should be I feel some kind of sexual current. But then, I make lots of faults, English being my second language.

Let me ammendby saying that DTT is my first and often only source for Prince's lyrics, as he sometimes forgets that his lyrics are pondered over OUTSIDE the English language barrier, so it is great to have back up, esp when it comes to albums without lyrics.
