I'll always think that Witness 4 The Prosecution is the greatest jam he ever did... the crotch-level bass line, the wailing guitar throughout, the hornlines, and the backing vox w/Wendy etc, it's just badass thru and thru.
Extralovable is fun, but I'm a guitar player first, so I'll always dig the stone grooves over the synth funk stuff. www.beaurocks.com Trees are made of WOOD!

this ALWAYS comes up in the "best of-" bootleg lists. It's that nasty ass space electro funk he should keep doing and is best at. One of Dansa's org hornies

blackguitaristz said: It's a great cut from P when he was totally in a zone. Meaning, this was a period when his confidence level was sky high. Didn't get released mainly cuz of the rape section. Overall, including the Dez baiting, shows me that P wasn't sincere on this being released. Although there is some dark elements revolving around sex on the 1999 album, nothing on there comes close to that rape bit in Extra Loveable.
I suppose he could have removed a few lines ("I'm just going to have to rape you") and the problem would have been solved He should have placed this song on the B side of one of his singles...maybe "Little Red Corvette"? Imagine,in 1983,buying the "Little Red Corvette" 12" (with the dance remix) and flipping it over to hear the full 8-minute plus version of "Extra Lovable"!

With songs like this, Empty Room, In A Large Room..., Computer Blue Extended, etc etc etc etc etc etc I'll never understand how Prince can just shove them in a vault and forget about them.
But it's one of the reasons I love his crazy little self.

Extralovable, to me, is one of those songs that should be classified as a drug. It literally changes my consciousness and mood. My heart rate accelerates, my freakin' liver starts changing shape and shit...my backbone curves the wrong way...you should definitely be over 18 for this trip. The Normal Whores Club

Which version, Beau? The good one!! I've got three versions: two are very similar except one with just him doing the vocals, and another with a bunch of girls singing, and I think only one of those has Eric and Atlanta Bliss doing horn hits. I forget, because I deleted the rough version and only kept the full version (w/backup girls & horns). Also - it ends with him saying "GUILTAY! 7 Years hard labor, takimaway" And then there's the other version that's totally dry with him talking at the beginning, and it's seems very boxed in. Hard to describe. www.beaurocks.com Trees are made of WOOD!
