Prince look very fione in the video. I love those facial remarks he made. Damn he looks fine now than back in the 80s and yet he's almost fifty years old. Although I wished he dance some but that okay the video is tight. This song going to creat some buzz in the club and Bet audience.

I am so excited and cant wait to see him this saturday on SNL.

Fun song, eh video. Videos have never been his strong point, so nothing too shocking. The real disappointment is to hear him say a line like, "I got a brand new dance," and then watch him stand around the whole time.

tho' the song ain't the greatest, the video somewhat saves it. i like the fact that prince ain't dancing in it--quirky as it may seem, it sorta makes sense if you think about it a little bit.

Prince looks like he is monicking Pharrell from the Neptunes. It definitely is better than TAC.

I love the song, but not the video so much.

The dancer I think ruins it all...she is so masculine and looks odd to me with the close ups. I can't watch it again. Prince's cutesy expressions are great though, he really shines bright! It would have been nice to see him shimmy and shake a bit too~!

Well I wrote a long review but it didn't send and I couldn't recover it so I'll just be short. Easily one of his best in the last decade. Sparse yet this video packs a punch. It actually looks like it was directed with a definite vision in mind. Prince's bemused looks are classic and still crack me up after all these years. I would call this a funky homage to the Kiss video which is fitting since it is the 20th anniversary of the song this year.

8 out of 10...look for some airplay on this one...record company is pushing hard!

Yes! Funky song, good video. Even at 47 years old, Prince looks pretty fine. I really think the young people will like this song. Now I can't wait to buy the CD!!!

It is not the greatest Prince song & video but better then I expected it would be.

it kinda reminds me of TGRES by way of the kiss video. it's not terribly memorable, but it's a nice video of prince looking pretty and making goofy faces, so i'm not gonna bitch too much.

Now that is more like it! While I enjoyed Musicology over Rave, both seemed a little vanilla for me. In Black Sweat, Prince seems raw again, and while not groundbreaking it is unique and certainly funky as all hell.

Did I sense a little horniness? How refreshing is that? I also think the video is perfect becuase Prince is reserved, cool as shit (as always) and does not do anything over the top which often alienates some of his audience. The music leads the attack on your senses, not Prince visually, he compliments.

Bravo! Me thinks ol boy is going to tear it up Sat night. The prospcets of seeing him play that track live has me fired up.

Clear channel and mtv have nothing against prince...
they just don`t play certain music...
But black sweat is such a hot song that will get positive reaction
from the listeners...so they will start playing prince again...
we all gonna see it....
