Who here never really listens to Prince anymore?

I really haven't played any of his stuff in ages... I just hang around here for the folks and the Non-Prince discussion. Anyone else like me?

I don't listen as much as I used to. (I'm a bigger fan of his older stuff.) However, yesterday I was listening to Newpowerradio, but it didn't stream very well, so I didn't listen too long.

I saw the other thread about folks sayin' they listen to him everyday, well I certainly don't - but you know what, there will be something brought up here on the board, about a song/album, whatever, and it will make me wanna listen to it again, so I'll pop it on, and bada-bing, it'll be on rotation for a few days. cool

I don't listen to anything after 1995..I used to listen to P atleast everyday..now it's a few songs every 5 months or so, or whenever the mood strikes.

The other day, I put on:

She's always in my hair (12")
Computer Blue (long)
Return of the BumpSquad (Live in Miami)
People Without (Small Club)
Joy In Repetition
Rebirth of the Flesh (Rehearsal 88)

Those...brought tears to my eyes that day touched

I might get tired of one his albums for awhile (oh say parade for instance) then I'll listen to some of his other stuff (he has so much stuff out there). By the time is done I'm back in the mood to listening to parade all over again (anybody else like this?????).

I've had a resurgence of Him in the past weeks, especially when I received some boot material with a ton of songs I never heard. That's where I'm at now, and it's quite funkay!

There's rarely a day that comes where I don't play Prince music.

Damn! Isn't that a little too much time spent just listening to music?

Well, it's while I'm doing something other things, but I'm concentrating mostly on the music...music is my life, if it were not 4 music, I would DIE!

I only listen to old music from the 1970s and the early 1980s from tons of artists so the "old Prince" usually works his way into the mix from time to time. Every once in a while, I may get in the mood for some recent Prince, but not very often.

I dropped out of the Prince game for many many albums post-D&P. I have a lot of catching up to do.

I've been listening to him almost exclusively on a daily basis since I joined the org in November. I have him on now. razz

nod Same Here Vain. His most recent stuff lacks the funky touch his classic stuff has and as you know I can't get enough of that funky stuff.

I go through phases where I listen to tons of Prince, and little else. Now is not one of them; it's probably been a few weeks since I've listened to a Prince song. My taste in music is cyclical like that...One month it'll be nothing but U2, next month I'm ODing on Bowie, and the following month I'll listen to Prince.
