Speaking of Classics... Somebodys Somebody

For someone who has been around since the beginning...

Still in my top 10 - song means alot to me

and...

its one of his best for ballads - its got such power and the thing that he kills me with (over and over and over and over YEAHHHH!)

MAJOR EMOTION - puit on headphones and tell me U disagree

wink

oh yeah and bad ass guitar, bass, beat, 7 layering vocals (wow!)
The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Prince has far too many classic songs for that one to be in the top 10...but I still dig it. nod

Songs like this get easily overlooked when you release them on a 36-track opus.

Nope. Not a classic in my opinion. Don't even like it much.

nod

But it's still one of the tracks that stand out on Emancipation.
Liked it from first listen. It sounds very honest.

In the dictionary, under "Lame", there should be the words: "Somebody's Somebody" wink

Sterile, watered-down R & B from the man who wrote Adore and HCUDCMA... Ugh!

We all have our personal connections to music though... to each his own.

It's not bad, but far from a favorite. I just got Emanicpation a few months ago and I'm still trying to digest it.
