I know it is hard to take any statement serious on this thread, but I do agree that it is more easily understandable that someone could like "prefer" Prince over Michael Jackson. To me it is obvious that Prince is more talented, also he appears to have more moral values.

Even Michael Jackson respects Prince. He named one of his kids after him. wink

But everyone knows Prince could kick Michael's ass in a fight.

LOL. I like them both. Well I should say I like "old" Michael. Not what he's become now-a-days.

Is it me, or does Prince never say "that's the other guy" in Life O' the Party?

I am asking because I have read this "lyric" in several articles and threads.

Well, you know what they say about opinions? Opinions are like a*s holes. Everybody has one and it doesn't matter how right you think your opinion is, it still comes out the same place and smells the same.

i read plenty of threads on the org about MJ and its starting to annoy me, mostly from fellow orgers trying to offer some sort of truce or mutual respect ,well frankly you can suck my D**K.
As an old skool Prince fan ive never ever liked MJ or his music, and hes always been regarded as a minor rival.
everyones entitled to like whatever, whoever they like and thats fair enough, but i just cant see how my fellow orgers can like both P & MJ.
its like black & white(a pun on many levels) to me.

rant over, thanks for your patience biggrin

A minor rival??? As far as I was concerned, they were NEVER in the same music genre!!!! MJ, has ALWAYS been a pop star. P, is the chosen one to REPRESENT THA FUNK(i.e, James, Sly, George). MJ, is considered a writer/performer, who aside from his probs now, put out some of the best music of its time, and I personally find it hard to believe, that YOU can now say that YOU never liked anything he came out with(especially looking at your profile, and seeing the peeps that you lists as your favs). P, is/was/always will be considered a musician/writer/performer, who has left a lasting legacy on music culture. I'm 41, and GREW up with P and his music, and could be considered one of his greatest admirers. I have never chosen MJ music over P's, but to sit and say that MJ didnt have a musical effect on society, is just plain "simple".

Forget, what he's on trial for now, thats for a jury to decide.

You can rip on Kid Rock all you want but I've seen him in concert about 5 times and besides Prince he is the only musician I've seen who can go from one instrument to another to another.
He is very talented and a great entertainer so you can take your MJ lovin stupid white glove and stick it up your ass!

I never knew that about Kid Rock. Which instruments does he play?
I know my husband really likes Kid Rock. But he was raised here in Detroit so husband is not impartial.

I've seen Kid Rock in concert play the guitar, piano, drums, harmonica, and not only that but he does write all his own material and puts on a great live show also. He's very versatile!! He plays slow country-ish songs,Heavy Metal songs and Rap songs.
I know he's not for everybody but he is a talented musician.

He's not bad. Kid Rock is a great live performer, His song writing is rather weak...but I'd pay to see him live. He kind of acts like a rockstar poser with the "American flag waving...I'm every man bit".....and why is he always taking Tommy Lee's leftovers.
