You take the day off school and work on the day of a new Prince release so that
you can get it as soon as its released in the "wrecka stow" and spend the
whole day listening to it. ( i did that with "Crystal Ball" and it became a custom.)

...if you can listen to and love TRC and look past the vader voice LOL

...if you can take absolutely anything someone says to you and find a Prince song that goes with it.

Wife: I'm gonna go take a bath.

Me: "Take a bath, hippy!! All the critics love U in New York. New York. New York. New York."

If you use Prince as a reference point for everything..I can link eras of my life as well as track other artists, all in terms of Prince. I'm driving my friends bananas...

If your friends would say about you to other people, "Yeah, she's REALLY into Prince." without their being asked about it.

People compare MJ to Prince and you freak out and try to explain the HUGE difference between them both.

When your friends, family, co-workers hear any Prince news they tell you as soon as possible. When they hear or see Prince they immediately think of you. All of my friends and coworker have told me this.

When you have trained your mother and/or other relatives to always be on the lookout for Prince on television, and to tape his appearances for you. No shit, I have done this. My mother is well trained.

When you know the procedures and protocol of lining up for aftershows, you come equipped with all the supplies you need to make yourself comfortable before showtime (a rug or your coat to sit on the floor so you're not standing all night).

If you continue buying the albums even after you've been disappointed with the last one.

* if you're a chick and can see yourself in some of his clothing (im sorry but i LOVED his white hooded suit lol)

when - a Prince song comes on the radio or in a store, you recognise it within a nanosecond and that its track 8 of the 10th album and Eric Leeds gets credit 4 the horn part!
