Are all of you pretty much die hard Prince fans?

I really like prnce but i'm not die hard! I actually prefer Rick James! I have to go with the under dog, plus he was a genius!

That said, there's a pretty good mix here. There are a good number of folks on the board who like Prince's music a lot, but he isn't their favorite. Not me, though, I mainline Purple Kool Aid.

I don't consider myself a die hard Prince fan. If there is anyone who has not figured this out yet, my die hard obsession is Marilyn Monroe. Prince is my favorite musician, but not much more.

I consider myself a casual Prince fan and hardcore when it comes to his music. In other words, my first concert was Musicology and I have the utmost respect, love and admiration for All of his Music.

I only listen to Prince and Mozart.

along with Rufus Wainwright, Elton John, Mozart, among others. . .but Prince is the only one that I would consider putting so much money down for hard-to-find items. . .I consider myself nuts. . .

I think a lot of us are. That's why it pisses us off when he makes something we don't like. If we weren't a die hard fan, we would say the hell with him and move on to someone else.

Prince is by far in the cd changer 80% of the time.. The only other artists i listen to are as follows. U2, Lenny, White Stripes, Outkast, MJ, Evanescence, old Stone Temple Pilots, old Smashing Pumpkins and not much else.

Do you remember back in the day when you anticipated the next Prince album because you knew it was going to be great and completely different than anything you'd ever heard before? In high school, I was one of those girls wearing lace, purple clothes and Prince pins. It was a bit out of control!


That's how I am about him. I have to admit that he did lose me there in his post-Diamonds & Pearls period. It was a bit out there for me. I was wanting to come back into the world and I surely have with the current album. This is the Prince I know and love.
