...OK the question is - how big a fan of Prince are you? I mean, I know this is a Prince fansite, but there are people on here who are evidently bigger fans than others...so how big a fan of the man are you?

me, I'm a huge fan (have been since Purple Rain)

Seen him twice. Have all official releases, some singles, and unreleased. A couple boots, and box sets....so I'm a fan. To what degree? He's no MADONNA..let's just leave it at that!

have all P's released recordings up to musicology, missing several albums thru other website, but will get them. have 2 prince in concert lp's, and 1 bootleg. back in college people used to come see my dorm room, just to see it as i was know as the 'prince' girl. i had him all over the walls, and when my girls and i would go to the clubs, we'd always request P.i have been a fan since i was about 9, he was the first music that really got under my skin and moved me to become a dancer. he introduced me to r&b proper and taught me about color lines-as in they are in the mind. love prince!!!!!

I consider myself a big fan-I'm not obsessed about having to have every single or 12" extended version or things like that.

I have all the official albums (minus Black Album, and the NPGMC releases), but I've loved his music since '89.

Have all the official DVDs.

It really comes down to if you appreciate the music and enjoy it.

For that, I consider myself a very big fan.

Mine comes and goes in waves. At the moment I am not being a very good fan, but a year ago I was OBSESSED. I don't have many 7'' and 12" etc, but every album and various curios. I spent over AUS$1000 on concert tickets last year, that's pretty dedicated right?

i am a very big fan of prince. however, due to financial handicaps(kids), i don't have all of his stuff. if i could i would have all of his stuff even if i didn't like it. i know i said in posts before that if it doesn't sound good i wouldn't buy it, but when it comes to money if i had it i would be a liar for prince.

Loved him since Purple Rain, flew all the way to him hometown two years in a row to be the for the week long celebration during his b-day week to hang out and party with him. ( ps I touched him). I think I've seen him in concert, about 27 times.

I'm a pretty big fan. Have been since Purple Rain as well, and when I hear someone put him down I immediatly jump to his defense. But thats just me.

Not to offend...but I think that's a very hard question to answer. I think I am a big fan. But I don't have everything. I don't need to go to all the shows. On here I'd say I was average. At home, I am considered obsessed (I'm not), next to some others I am a casual fan.

THere's really no barrometer for such a thing. And my affection for him comes and goes..though it's pretty strong now.

Maybe we need a quiz to determine just how big a fan you are.

I'm a fan since Mai, and I think I'm an average fan. Slowly but surely I'm collecting albums (student => not that much money), but I'm already a daily visitor here

Let's see..... Have seen him 2wice, have (at last count) 17cd's including the "Black Album". Have been listening since about 1981.....Have 4 movies (purple rain 2wice). Probably have spent "lots o dollars" over the last 23 yrs. Went to see the "purple house" once..... Yeah, I guess I'm a big fan.....

Ok, I am a HUGE fan. I have been a fan since Feb. I read his book on his life, and I am trying to get every CD he has ever made. I may not have been able to get tickets to his concert because I was to late in being a fan, didn't know he was touring. I may not have every CD, but I am working on that one right now. I didn't not join the NPGMC because I can care less in being in that, I chose this site over NPGMC. I may not have every cover of any mag. with his face on it, but if you know alot about him and know his music and whats behind the music, then I consider myself and every single person a fan.

All my friends and family define me as a Prince fan. They know I wont buy to much other music unless it gives off a similiar creative vibe.

I've had virtually every official release... ever... with a couple of exceptions. I've only had one bootleg (notice the word 'had'...the gems of my collection got ripped of some years back... my boot of the Black Album and The Gold Exp prob most notable and hard to replace)

Since joining here... i only consider my self an average fan were once i did consider my self a pure die hard.

Its all about perspective.

I have to say I am an obsessed fan. I fell in love with Prince all over again after I went to two Musicology concerts. I have most of his CD's, except maybe for his 1st two releases. I fist fell in love with him in "Purple Rain" and have considered him one of the sexiest, finest and kick-ass musician ever. I even kept the confetti and streamers that fell down during the concerts. I am totally in love with him and will defend him to the death. Even my boyfiriend is a little jealous of him. I would just die to personally meet him. I've been a big fan for 20 years now!

Go 2 most of the Prince parties in Mpls

Collect every single rare Prince picture i could find.
