Prince In Greatest Guitarists List...

From Guitar.com's "100 Greatest Guitar Players"

http://www.guitar.com/g2k...=12&page=2

30. Prince

He changed his name to protest the legal practices of major record companies, but he also change the face of black music by building on ideas first introduced by groups like Sly and the Family Stone and the Isley Brothers. In the studio, Prince's style has customarily been restrained and impeccably funky. Live, he can unleash a torrent one of his idols, Jimi Hendrix, would surely enjoy. Look past the somewhat curious shapes of his axes. This guy can play.

Essential Album: Purple Rain
Classic Moment: "Delirious"

(DELIRIOUS?! Is there even guitar on that?!?)

Yeah, I remember seeing that list a couple of years ago. Prince did/does have some butt-ugly guitars. Not that it matters when it comes to the music.

I think they picked a song title out a hat. They recommend Purple Rain, but tell you the classic moment was "Delerious".

Now that I look over that list I realize that they picked songs as Classic Moments that weren't on the albums they listed for that specific artist.
