Prince special guest at the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards

Prince will be performing at the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast. There will be a special segment dedicated to funk that will feature OutKast; George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic; Earth, Wind & Fire; and Robert Randolph & the Family Band. And if you can read between the lines, Prince will be the surprise guest.

The Grammy's r usually shown on Uk TV, try Living, and E4 and usually they eventually show em on C4 tho its often at about 2.00am. I really hope P-shows up and lives up to his name, its about time he shows the Beyonce's and Justin Timberlakes of this crappy generation, what a rrreal show is. + he can put JT's lame dress sense to shame.

Chicago's Radio station XRT said that he will open the show. He'll play some old stuff probably with some NEWS snippets.

The Whole Funk Jam is a separate performance, which sounds very impressive.

Is this a confirmed report that he will appear...or is it just KingofNYC's interpretation of PaislePark6's comment?

This seems possible since I heard from a source that Outkast will induct Prince into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday, March 15, 2004. Prince is all about the funk and this is his COMEBACK year.

Now, we want the funk! Gotta have the funk!

Hopefully, this wikl be his comeback year. He kinda blew it in 1999, now didn't he?

I really hope P does perform. Its about time all these younguns got schooled.

From this one line, you're gathering that Prince will perform? confuse

The Grammy organizers just announced an updated list of performers this morning, and there was no mention of Prince.

Prince will show every wanna B up! Did anyone see Justin T on Sat night live? Tried 2 b Prince! Playing simple 2 chords on piano, JT made a fool of himself to adults! It's the little girls that don't see.

Ah shit! you KNOW Prince is going to put it down in front of his peers and a national TV audience (assuming it gets on). Prince is the rightful new reigning king of funk as George Clinton and James Brown cant seem to stay out of jail.

Question: If you could see Prince perform with someone from "today's world" of music, who would it be? I'd love to see Outcast or Pink myself. Both would be badass.

Dumb question, but what's the date of the Grammy's this year?
I usually don't watch the presentations, but try to catch the musical acts in between.
I hope this is true...
