Purple Rain RATED 7TH BEST ROCK MOVIE OF ALL TIME IN PREMIERE MAGAZINE

I was reading the latest Premiere magazine and on page 34, filmmaker Penelope Spheeris ranks Purple Rain as the 7th "Greatest Rock Movie of All Time".

Purple Rain is THE GREATEST ROCK MOVIE OF ALL TIME! nod

SOTT is the GREATEST CONCERT MOVIE OF ALL TIME! nod

Prince has nailed both categories...
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

"Purple Rain" is a great movie, but the greatest Rock movie of all time? Are we forgetting a classic little film called "Under the Cherry Moon" which is every bit the equal of Purple Rain and then some?

Seriously, what was #1? Glitter? Maybe it was Selena?

The top of the list is probably a mix of A Hard Day's Night, a couple of Elvis movies, Grease, The Doors...?

Where is "This is Spinal Tap?" Surely, that should be in the top ten rock movies?

Is Purple Rain the highest grossing Rock Movie of all time though ? I think the soundtrack is still the highest selling soundtrack album by a single artist or group isnt it?( as opposed to soundtracks like The Bodyguard which had Whitney Houston and other artists on it)
Check out Chocadelica , updated with Lotusflow3r and MPLSound album lyrics April 2nd 2009 :

Er...isn't it funny that Ms. Spheeris listed "The Decline of Western Civilization" in this list considering that she MADE IT???

I mean, it IS a GREAT film (and SORELY needs a DVD release) but...that's rather tacky, no?
