If Comerica decides not to go after Patrick Cousins it will not be because they cannot. It will be a choice I hope due to a settlement. Laws were broken and no assumptions are being made about that.

Your true colors are showing if you are good with this crook and M2 bullshit with the trademark.

Let's see

PC

M1

M2

All in the same rowboat trying to go cash town

I love how you're pulling a Lonnie with hit and run comments with zero explanation or context. What is your goal? I'm aware and admit I'm just speculating about stuff like everyone else here since I'm not in with any of these people. Why are you saying anything if you aren't free to explain?

I'm hpoing things aren't as bad as they look,

So explain what's going on if you know? Or start in on the poor Mayte spiel again. Or sit there where I can't even see you laughing to yourself.

I'll sit here laughing to myself at you. How many times does a person have to tell you? What is it that you are not getting?

Not to derail this thread but I went back on USPTO to see if others tried to trademark any other Prince IP so searched for various terms Purple Rain, NPG, Paisely, etc. I was surprised when a trademark for The New Power Generation was applied for on 1/26/17 and abandoned on 10/26/17...by MARVA KING!!!! Purple and gold lettering. Not sure if this was before or after New Power Soul was announced but even Omarr had to get NPS licensed from the Estate. Disrespectful 👎

New Power Soul was in the studio at PP in September. Baker announced the formation of the group at the PRN Alumni meeting on 9/7/2017.

And what exactly is so terrible about it if she says she thinks he never got over it? What the hell is the problem with that? She loved the man, if you love someone, you try to understand them. She tried to make sense of it, she tries to understand him. And she wants to understand why it didn't work in the end. Because she didn't want the divorce. So I guess she tried to understand his whole behaviour after that, and that's okay. She did nothing wrong with stating that and she didn't harm him or his legacy.

She cannot figure out after 20 years that he was a womanizer and a serial cheater. He did not want to be with one women. It is not that hard to figure out and writting a book will not help her understand anything.

This is my last comment on this. He was a private person she should have respected his wishes and you know how the media twisted the whole age thing practically calling him a pedo. I do not think that is good for his legacy. You can goggle and pull stuff up now and forever because of her foolishness. Fortunatly, I do not think anyone in the mainstream media is really interested in what she had to say

It was not her fault that the press twisted things and it wasn't her intention. She defended him in that matter, so what do you want?

And yes he was a womanizer but he still loved her very much, It's funny, he proposed to Susannah, to Sheila but he married only Mayte. So he really must've loved her.

If she hadn't put the info out there, the media wouldn't have anything to twist.😑

Don't be silly, the info was out there before, everybody knew she was 16 when they met. It's Not like she spilled a secret.

Now, why the press made a fuss about it AFTER He died is another thing, but not really her fault if you keep in mind that they had this info all this years.

They made a fuss because she brought it up in the book.I do not remember anyone in the media caring about this back in the day. Her publishers saw a selling point.

What I wanna say is, you're just trying to find another reason to hate on Mayte and blaim everything on her. The media always knew how and when they met, but they didn't fuss about it. So, Mayte telling it in her book is not spilling a secret to sell the book, you are ridiculous. It's not ther fault that the media always tries to make shit up, or creating scandals.

Did not say she was spilling a secret and I do not hate her because I do not know her. I think her actions are shady and self serving. Free to think what I like.

You also need to learn something about marketing. She got the deal because of what she was going to say about Prince not because she is Mayte. Come on now. The book business is a business.

Actually, Prince is the one that made a big deal about her being 16. He focused almost an entire Love Symbol album on him falling for someone so young and even made a movie about it. Blame his ass for bringing her age to light. Furthermore, he was also the one pointing out to the world that the young woman he was falling for was a virgin. He wrote a damn song about it.

Basic tracking for the song Morning Papers was in December of 1991. I imagine he wrote it in 1991. She was born in November of 73. She was not 16 when the song was recorded and released. She had just turned 18 when it was recorded. Yes, she was rather young (and maybe her being 17-18 years old was enough to seem odd to even him and he dramatized it as 16 in the song to try to justify a relationship of that sort)--It does sound like they were just friends first like she said in her book, but she did let People magazine run a story with headlines and cherry picked statements that made it sound like he initiated a romantic relationship with her at 16, adopted her at 17, took drugs, and I believe burned her stuff. That magazine article pissed me off more than the existance of the book becuase it was incredibly easy to take out of context and the most salicious details were just thrown out there irresponsibly. She should have been more responsible and let those facts just unfold in the book. Thank God she didn't release that article in the last 6 months or his reputation would have been ruined beyond fixing...MeToo overreaction would have been devastating.

Who gives a damn what a tabloid magazine like People magazine has to say after they twisted her words. Consider the source. There were other reputable outlets that didn’t twist her words and try to sensationalize her story. They did the same things to Prince, repeatedly. Made him out to be some lunatic and silly fans that didn’t know any better, read it and believed it. Maybe you’re too naive to know but you can’t control what people say about you.

She agreed to the interview and was posting on instagram with the writer of the interview. She knew exactly what they were saying and never publically expressed regret about what was featured in the interview or on the cover.. People is not Star or the Natural Inquirer. It was an interview expressely made with a People Magazine

She was in England and the same thing happened. These were news broadcast and mainstream press. Because you cannot control the press does not make being the reason for Prince being defamed okay. None of this would have started if she had not gone there in the book in the first place. You realize estates cannot sue for defamation so nothing will ever be retracted. Let us just agree to disagree on this one.

I care about the manipulator getting all this praise from people while she continues to slither around the Prince legacy,

.

Prince was not in love with any wife in the long term marriage way. It is obvious so of course M1 and M2 will always do and say things that are suspect because they know they never had his heart. Nothing like a woman scorned and what I see now is a woman scorned from these wives.

So how about the Manipulator trademarking L4OA six days after P died?

No one cares?

You would prefer to argue about M1 instead of discussing the outright sleeziness of M2 wanting to put P's charity symbol on yoga pants?

eek

To the bolded: This is what I hate on this board. "He didn't love them this way." Yes, sure, as if YOU know what HE felt for any woman. You don't know what his thoughts or feelings were, but you are so sure of your opinion, when it's only that: Your OPINION. Not a damn fact.

Some of you complain that Mayte or Mani are talking for him, but you do the exact same thin by claimin who he really loved and who not.

How is it obvious Vashtix? What makes you think that he didn't love Mayte the way she claims? Were you there? Nope. Only she knows and he but he's dead, we can't ask him about it. We also can't ask him about Mani, Vanity, or the others. And if we could, we probably wouldn't even get an answer because it's not our business to know!

MAYBE, he would've been still together with Mayte if the Baby didn't die. A lot of people break up over this things. But we can't know for sure, and here you are saying: "Prince was not in love with any wife in the long term marriage way, it is obvious." Alright Miss Know it all, how about you tell us what made Prince break up with Mayte or Mani, go on, since Prince can't tell us, and you know it for sure, tell us Vashtix.
