I watched the show. Short interview. Mayte wiped a tear a few times. Done in good taste. I am sure the funds from the book will help with her animal rescues

Hmm...something about this me makes me uncomfortable.

When pressed on drugs - a bit contradictory, 'it's in my book, some small things that happened' but then 'it was never something I was aware of, never saw it' and that 'music was the drug'

I also found the 'dry' eye rubs a little odd, as it to imply tears but she didn't look like she was crying?!

I noticed this too!

I thought they were crocodile tears, too. It looked more like her eye makeup was burning her eyes than emotion!

I did not have an opinion of Mayte before but seems something is not right ...anyway Wonder who told her to act like this and appear on the show, now that she can't blame her actions on Prince anymore.

After watching the inteview, to quote Jay-Z: "WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU, YOU NEED MORE PEOPLE". Only with the passage of time, will I know if her words match up to the truth.

Bingo! But generally, when people go on these shows to promote their books, there will be softball questions. She's not going to have some true journalist drilling her about all the inaccuracies she's spewed over the years.

Is Mayte paying you to cape for her? No one is above exaggerating details for something to gain traction and later use the cop out that there words were taken out of context. Especially when the subject of the book is no longer alive to confirm or deny what happened.

Sometimes people have no words...even though they might want to...especially when they feel helpless in what to say to someone they love who is hurting as badly as they're hurting.

I don't he meant to be an assh*le, although it probably turned out to feel that way to her...but after such a tragic event, I think he was at a loss as to what to say or do to help her.

I also think he felt guilty...he might've felt as if, after all, if he hadn't gotten her pregnant in the first place she wouldn't have lost 2 babies and ended up hurting.

Just a thought.

Guess folks don't realize the reproducing the book blurb one sees in most books where you have to get written permission to reproduce any book.

The cover pic of the book is fine. Anything in between the covers is not as the org does not have permission to allow reproduction of the contents of any pics/images and paragraphs.
