I sometimes need to remind myself that while I lost an artist I loved dearly Tyka lost a brother. Even if they didn't always have the best relationship they were FAMILY and they loved each other. The fans are important but it's not just about the fans. I'm sure she is doing the best she can right now. 💜

She is doing the best she can. Of course some think they could do better. How many estates have you managed like that?

She didn't just lose Prince; she lost her brother. Forget about yourself for just a moment and think about that. Her brother. Most fams never even met him. She knew him all her life on a personal level. She has lost a lot more than a fam has.

As far as an explanation to how long he had been abusing painkillers or if had some illness, if she wants to share that information, it is up to her. Yeah, it would be nice to know, but unless she wants to share, we are not entitled.

I'm sure it will come out sooner or later anyway. There are a lot of books yet to be written. Chances are we will get that info.

Hello, I can't imagine how difficult the situation is for Tyka and her family. It is difficult enough to work through a family death, particularly with a complicated estate. Add to that the love/caring/emotional investment of thousands of fans and I think it must be a lot to deal with. I'm sure our fan community is both a source of strength for her but also must feel like a huge responsibility at the same time!

Why is everything blame on not having a will. If he had one and fans did not like the decisions he made than that would be a problem too. A will does not mean everything was going to smooth sailing. My only question was, how close was to he to these family members that claiming the estate.

This. I am continually surprised at how people feel they are entitled to know so many details. Or, really, ANY details.

And, IMO, there are a lot of orgers who need to seek help. Seriously. The obsessive nature of some of the posts/posters is unsettling. I get grief and grieving. I do. And grief continues to come in unexpected moments. But the fixation is stright-up unhealthy.

i have big respect for tyka. imo, she's held up remarkably well in the face of media spotlights during an emotionally rugged time in her life. can't imagine what this must be like for her and her loved ones. absolute sympathy for her and her family.
