I agree, that doesn't make any sense. Why place one over the other when both marriages failed?

And quite frankly, for years, I've always believed he only married the first one suddenly because she became pregnant. So all that fantasy one-true-love stuff people have created between them is a joke to me. Especially when there are so many claims of him being an adulterer the whole time.

Mayte is taping a reality show "Hollywood Exes. A judge just ordered Prince to pay $4M to the Perfume makers. Andy is not so hot. All the people involved in this tour want to make as much money as possible. They would want to get as much publicity as they can to help promote the upcoming Prince shows. It was recently in the news Mayte the reality show. It makes sense they would mention his annulled marriage to Mayte that happened almost 15 years ago, twice in the promo clip.

Prince should seriously think about getting new management so he doesn't keep getting involved in bad business deals. It causes him to do ridiculous PR stunts. When he must pay Judge orders he becomes a desperate man. If Prince and Mayte got back together I think only fams would care. The promo clip makes me think they want to remind fans about his marriage to Mayte. I don't think Prince is still in love with Mayte but I know Prince has to pay $4M to the Perfume makers.

Personally, I can't think of any reason why Prince's camp wanted to remind fans about his marriage to Mayte, in other words, I think it was just a coincidence they mentioned her name. They also have no reason to promote Mayte's new reality show and I don't see how his concerts can be somehow advertised more by having Mayte's name in the promo-clip either, since I highly doubt any cheesy reality show from VH1 is anywhere near 'popular' in Australia (no disrespect to Mayte!)

They are not trying to promote the show Hollywood Exes but they are trying to promote HIS show. The promo clip immediately reminds us of the time he married his 23 years old back up singer. Mayte was more of the dancer in the band. Some people could even be confused by the clip and think they mean he married Andy Allo on Valentine's Day since she is his most recent 23 years old back up singer. I don't think it's a coincidence. My sentiments exactly. Up until that December, he had Nona Gaye thinking that they were going to get married. Their relationship was part of the act and people responded to it, cuz it was a side of him that we never saw. Did he love her, pretty sure he did, but he was definitely loving other woman as well.

Well...I guess everyone has different opinion on this subject, and it shouldn't matter that much because it's only his personal life and we'll never really know the absolute truth, but the reason I believed their love was true love is because he was vastly different during Emancipation era. The guy I saw in Oprah's interview was a family-oriented Prince that I'd never seen before. In any interview Prince did with Mayte, he seemed very comfortable around her and the way he stared at her was just....ahh, so in love. In one interview where he talked about how he's sick of the whole "being controlled by WB", though his face was covered in mask his body language told me he was really frustrated. But during the interview at one point Mayte and Prince sort of leaned toward each other and they seemed as if they were sharing his pain.

I don't, however, believe Mayte was the only true love he's had. I believe he was just as much in love with Mani, and there could be more, possibly, that we don't know of. I can't measure how much he was in love with all his past lovers and compare lol but I do believe when he gets married, he marries them because he's in love with them.

Of course, that was long time ago and they seem to have moved on

He didn't lie to Oprah. He kind of blanked her on it when asked about the health issues of the baby. I don't think the interview was a mistake, to me at least, it showed me that Prince and Mayte are strong human beings, and their bonding was real.

Prince is almost 54 years old and the things he is doing makes me scared for him. I don't think he will ever learn from the mistakes he has done through his life. He is doing the same things over and over again, no matter how many times he got burnt. I think he likes to suffer and be miserable. I assure him he will never find true happiness if he continues to live his life like this and with the attitude, "I always tell the truth even when I lie", I think he could die an unhappy and lonely man. I don't want this to happen to him.
