fDeluxe 2012 remixes on SoundCloud

The band has put their mixes up on SoundCloud for all to listen, there are 2 sets including that other cd they did a few years ago. There were 20 tracks up until last night but Gaslight ext mix and Screams ext were taken down.

Enjoy.

I've been listening to Gaslight since I bought it last week and I cannot stop playing it. The remixes are good but after seeing and hearing this band on MN Original's You Tube page with live versions of "Lover", "Gaslight", "Sanctified and "Drummer's And Healers", no remix will sound as good as Eric, Susannah, Jellybean and Paul in their element.

The music sounds so fresh, invigorating and contemporary. I can play this CD on Sunday mornings, before and after work, working out and I can play it all the way through. Between Gaslight and Condensate, Gaslight easily has been getting more rotation. Eric Leeds is such an invaluable player. Can't say enough about the musicianship, and songwriting and hopefully they get more fans and record another CD in the future.

yeahthat

Still, I play Condensate a lot too. Two different styles, really.

Thanks for pointing us towards the remixes, skilletnomicrowave!

Thanks! Fdeluxe is so generous to the fans!

The "Over the Canyon" remix is fantastic, the vibe in the second part reminds me of some Janet Jackson grooves which Jam and Lewis did. And a GREAT Eric Leeds solo. I hope it will be released on cd....

PS

The Gaslight Rabbit remix sounds like inspired by Madonna's 1990's live version of "Like a virgin"....

Since I posted this some of the mixes have been taken down and replaced with the Gaslight lp, btw all the mixes are available for purchase from Amazon UK, haven't checked the US site.

I too think it was generous of them to post but I also think some of the mixes are not brilliant. The alternate takes are best by far imho.
