The Revolution will be televised ... Tonight!

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that our interview/story with The Revolution will air tonight in the Twin Cities on Fox9 News at 9pm. I'm still in the midst of editing the story, but I'm really proud of the work we've done on this one.

Like I said before, the full interviews with ?uestlove and The Revolution will be available online and I will post the links here when they are up. But, PLEASE, if you live in the area, tune in tonight and check out the story. It's sweeps and we don't often cover stories like this. If the ratings are good, it's easier for me and my colleauges to do these types of stories in the future.

Thank you again,

Tim

Just watched the feature. Eric Leeds seemed to be a little rude, commenting "Don't these people have a life?", about all the people traveling here to see the show. Should be online soon.

I cant wait to see it online. I hope Eric was joking because it isn't like everyday average person are checking the Revolution minus Prince so be thankful for the good turnout.

He did say he was glad they had a good turn out, but still kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Some other touching moments though.

Eric isn't in this one.

I found it to appear as if he was being a bit rude as well. I'm sure it was an attempt at self-deprecating humor, but it seemed aimed at the fans and not that the band isn't worthy of such interest, which I think he was actually going for.

Thanks. I think Eric was trying to make a joke but it just didn't go over very well.

What's more interesting to me is that I am actually in that video. If you freeze the frame at :09, I'm standing to the right of the guy who says he was from Washington, D.C. I guess they already had someone from Dallas so they didn't ask me any questions.

Hey folks,

Looks like you found the links before I could post 'em. The page for the story (http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/dpp/entertainment/music/the-revolution-reunites-at-first-avenue) also has links to both the full interview with The Revolution and the full interview with Questlove.

As for Eric, I think it's pretty obvious he was joking.

Electricberet, sorry I didn't get you on. I was trying to grab interviews quickly so that I didn't get locked out by the gatekeepers at the door! biggrin

Again, thanks to everyone for watching. It was a blast to do this and I'm so glad the event was such a success.

BTW, Bobby watched the piece tonight and let Maury (my reporter) know that he really liked it! cool

No problem. It was actually kind of fun waiting in that line, because we were all so excited to see the Revolution. As you probably noticed, a scalper was walking back and forth the whole time to see if anyone would sell him tickets. I don't think he got any takers.

Someone tell Eric that if we're crazy fools, it's because we're lost in a world of love we get from crazy you.

Co-sign. The Leeds brothers have a VERY dry sense of humor, and I like that about them.

I´ve seen Eric a few times over the years and spoke with him, and he is a very kind and humble person who has nothing but love and respect for his fans.
