Darling Maytiana, I don't think that you are far off here. I've always said that in the end, P's woman of choice would be someone that has been very close to him over the years. They are truly a socially acceptable couple in the media. At award shows, she compliments him. She has never been a Prince creation, she could always hold her own and she has always been there for him. She isn't intimidated by him, his money or his fame. The younger women reminds him of his youth, the older women brings him closer to admitting reality, but in the end, Ms. Sheila E will be.

He may have written the song for Jill Jones, But Ms. Sheila is the one who has ALWAYS been in his hair. She has always been there and when he speaks of her, nothing but the utmost respect and admiration.

Lovely pics, and they are both beautiful. She may just be the 2nd/3rd most beautiful woman Prince has been with. But I don't see it happening. They have chemistry onstage, but offstage? Somehow, I don't see it working..

If there is one person in all of purpledom that seems to have unconditional love for Prince it is Ms Sheila. It wasn't all that long ago that he took her off the tour, no problem, she is back again. She doesn't seem to hold any grudges and knows his quirks as well if not better than anyone else. I am glad that she seems to be the one that is "Forever" in his life and maybe not marrying him is the smartest thing.

I love pics of them together. She is family in the truest sense at this point and I honestly believe that any comment that is critical of Prince that she might make would come from a loving place. I love the way he smiles in her presence. My hope is that she out lives him because I can't imagine him without at least one person that isn't bullshitting him for a paycheck. I just don't think she is the type. But then again, what the hell do I know???

They are long time good friends with a professional working relationship.

I also believe that Prince still sees himself having a child. Not all that crazy an idea when you think that Elton John just became a dad. Sheila is most likely past her baby making years and I just don't see her interested in the least in the "futurebabymama" role.

Actually, it makes no sense whatsoever. You know why? Because anyone who is remotely familiar with photography knows that a person shoots as many frames as humanly possible before he finally comes up with the one frame needed to convey a mood or tell a story. All these gonzo shots of Prince with women in public mean nothing, and I think it's hilarious how people connect their expectations onto something that was captured within a milisecond for the sole intent of profit. As a photographer the goal is to capture pics that can be used the most for a variety of publishing scenarios, to fit whatever imaginary story a publication wants to tell. As evidenced here on the org, suckers in the general public will lap up every single frame like a poodle to Puppy Chow, throwing the most childish projections onto these photos in the meantime.

In any event, while it's already well known that they had a relationship when they were younger (Sheila readily admits this in tv interviews), there is no reason assume that these two are in love presently.

I don't think P would take Mayte back because of who he is as a celebrity. It wouldn't look good at all. He isn't the type to go backwards. I believe there's a lot of heart between the two of them that would prevent it. I don't neccessarily blame Mayte for all of this. I believe that P's breaking up with her was a well calculated plan. Motley Crew and P has some back history, I'm sure P felt the same with Vanity.
