I agree with what's been said before. The Larry haters are the ones who feel P changed his whole vibe after being "reborn". Most of them probably never heard a 1970's G.C.S LP in their lives.
And Bruh B made a good point. If the Jeese/Sly pair continued, would the fans still be up in arms? It's known that P and Sly really don't like each other, so a P/Sly collabo would have never happened. So Larry was the next best thing. Plus Larry was always sharp, cool and on top of things. And he gave P the light he probably needed during a lost time in his life. Plus P was approaching 40 at the time. He started wearing suits, stopped cursing and matured a bit. He's still cool in my book. And I know this sounds crazy, but his music became a little bit more mature and organic too. He went back to using real drums instead of those horrible Kirky J drum loops, and the Hammond and Fender Rhodes started making appearances too. I wasn't crazy about "G.C.S 2000". So if Larry does another joint, I'm hoping it will be produced by someone else. | |

I'm only saying this because, out of all religions, Jehovah's Witnesses go door to door which I see as totally disrespectful to people who aren't of their religion because if they wanted to be a Jehovah's Witness, they would seek them out. All I'm saying is be careful and maybe even test their friendship to see if they are really your friend or simply someone trying to convert you. Anyway, I saw you are a sax player. Keep that up and good luck with it. And as for you meeting both Prince and Larry Graham, I'm jealous.  I'm just a straight up Christian, I've been to many different churches. I believe in everything that they talk about there...and they only go door to door because they believe that there will be an "everlasting now" once everybody knows of God and has the choice to believe in God..they want to inform, not convert..just a heads up Yeah, well I find it strange that they feel the need to inform people that God exists and give them the choice to believe in him in a country where the majority of people already believe in God and there is a church on every corner and various televised and radio broadcasted church services each and every Sunday morning to prove it. I see them going door to door as their way of trying to say that they are right and everyone else is wrong. When actually, none of us have ever died and come back again so we don't know who's right and who's wrong. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just sayin'. Anyway, just be cool and have fun with them but just remember that God gave you a mind of your own to think and make decisions with so don't let them influence your decisions. Really are all christians-christians, I have and have yet to see any other religion that follows the principals of what the bible and there god of the bible, The author- Jehovah informs them to do... Prince did not write the bible yes he is a man that is following the advice of the author about life and how to survive it in this world and what you can have in the future.. We go door to door, yes Bro Prince does also and trust you me he knows the truth comes directly from the bible, since one has a problem with what he speaks about gays, Bro Prince does not speak of his own originality but his father(this is what Jesus said John 7:16-18, so that what you hear him speak of it it accurate bible knowledge, and as for gays Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13 also 1Corinthians 6:9, take it up with the god of the bible.
So stop faulting Bro Prince or as the world knows him as Prince for that, he knows is true. So take it up with the author of the bible, the god of the bible, and take ones frustration out on the god of the bible not the man that is accepting the truth! Oh and as for church, I was a devoted church member, 1st soprano in the choir sat right behind the pastor, pastor lived right down the corner from me, member of 400-600 congegation, so I "KNOW" and lived church all my life mother even was a gospel singer, and what did I learn the 32 years of being in church,"NOTHING", I can tell you what I know and have come to see and experience, thats for sure, I have learned and seeked and found and was given 2 of the most beautiful teachers that taught me all about the truth, not who they are or what success that they have in their life, but the truth what I was in need of, and I will never look back, no backstabbing, no arguing, and so on... At least now I know what Matt 28;19-20 really means and thats what we do.. and was taught how to do so, and trust you me it was not from "CHURCH" | |

Prince must have been ready to embrace religion with a little more seriousness than before in his life. He always had people in his life that were more religious (in practice) than he was such as Vanity, Dez, Gayle Chapman. I don't think it's Larry Graham's fault but that Larry was there at a specific point in Prince's life that he needed to find that part of himself.
 When  go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! | |
