I definitely agree with the confusion part and that's actually what I was trynta say as well. I think that with time, clarity, self-analysis, and counseling abuse victims are able to make choices based on what their heart really wants rather than what their abuse and confusion drives them toward.  | |

A lot of times for the sakes of those members they try not to draw much attention to their congregations. I even know of a bishop of a c.o.g.i.c. congregation in Michigan who came out to his congregation (and had a male partner) and only a few people left That's saying a lot right there. Not only possible but definitely the case with miss E. Agape is love which is of and from God, whose very nature is love itself. The Apostle John affirms this in 1 John 4  “God is love.” God does not merely love; He is love itself.

It's like saying a woman deserves to be raped because she wore a short skirt to a bar. "She was asking for it." Bullshit. Is it because she's near 50, and single? When did that become a crime and instant "lesbian" status for a woman? It's degrading to a woman to be dismissed as a lesbian (not that BEING a lesbian is degrading, mind you) simply because she's chosen not to marry by the 2nd act of her life. Questions about Sheila's sexuality were raised LONG before she reached the 2nd act of her life. It's not groundless speculation to ask if someone who has been in the public eye for 25 years and rarely romantically linked to anyone might be gay. It's also not baseless when for the better part of the last 10 years Lynn Mabry at her side for every public appearance she's made. I don't think someone is a fool for pointing that out.
