Sheila E.'s Bedtime Story I love this tune. It's fucking beautiful. The entire melody arch, the sweet lyrics, the wanting.
...can't stop what's coming // can't stop what's on its way...

Nice tune. I only wish it were longer and included some of the musical interludes that are on Prince's rehearsal version. But it's beautiful in its simplicity, although slightly diminished by Sheila's fake crying. I love the way the song briefly visits the idea of moving far away and starting life all over and then quickly decides against it. Who hasn't had that dream?

I love it all. One of my faves of Romance 1600. The Purple Rain era rehearsal is even better

Like prince version better. Wish he would have released it on his albums. He is very much in touch with the female side in his lyrics and vocals...Luv it

I like honesty. I still think it is an underrated Prince/Sheila colloboration for all the reasons I stated. Love, love, love it. ...can't stop what's coming // can't stop what's on its way...

I like the song but prefer "Paradise Garden" as a Prince/Sheila ballad.Even more than that I like "The World Is High".
