Why can't Prince find someone that's not interested in using his fame to make themselves famous?

I don't think they're together anymore in the true sense of the word because you would think a man with Prince's super size ego, funding her charity and going on about love and spirtuality would want to take some public credit for it..so why is there no John and Yoko type thing happening? There was a picture of them last year, Mani had on a red, long dress and P had on a black suit with a red shirt...the picture had an 'off' vibe to it. P looked sick and Mani looked like she was faking smile. That was the worst picture I had ever seen of them two. | |

Guys we are all talking about not seeing Prince and Mani together. If you stop and think about it. With the exception of 3121 coming out and a few shows with Tamar. We really haven't seen him let alone the both of them together. It amazes me these shows such as E, Insider, Access Hollywood have all these pictures of Lindsey Lohan, and for crying out loud Paris Hilton etc. He's right there in Hollywood and you still don't see him. I could almost understand it if he was in Toronto or Minn. So again it still does not mean that Mani and Prince are no longer together. Still just speculation.
Can you tell I'm routing for them as a couple. I hate to see people break up!! Unless its absoulutly necessary (such as abuse). | |

Other than his performance or award show pics we normally never see him unlike other celebs which I guess is good for him. Mani was conspicously not present. i was just thinking about those concerts..i saw more legitimate stars at those shows then at these pathetic E/Extra/ET reported events (like those mag anniversary thingies were there are tons of paparazzi) yet not a single freaken camera outside the door..they had prince, seal, sheryl crow, eric clapton and a host of others just walking around outside like they were normal folks.... theres a difference...those people are stars...paris hilton, lindsey lohan and the like are just celebrities...they only go to the events that have the cameras will be at..then they cry about the ordeal of fame.  if eric clapton can walk down the street with jon mayer and none of us outside even batted an eye? then hilton and lohan could do the same..Space for sale... | |

when you are a creative person that is DRIVEN with the energy and inspiration to create nothing can kill it faster than the one that initially inspires you to start nagging and making negative comments on the one thing that is your trademark. My hat is off to the man for not letting his creativity die. When it does it takes a piece of your soul with you.
What ends up happening is that the one that loves you sooooo much starts not to love you so much anymore because that drive keeps you from conforming to their demands then you are not the person you were meant to be-it sucks. I'm happy that Prince can take it as a compliment and keep on moving. There's nothing worse than having your wings clipped. Krystal, I believe that every woman he has been inspired by he has had very strong emotions for - things change and it's very difficult for a brilliant creative person to conform to someone else's wishes.
I really think that when he started feeling used or the demands were interferring with his crwativity and drive he just had to get them out of the picture. It's a horrible feeling like drowning. I also think that it's very hard for regular people to understand. If he were a cold person that just used women for their bodies, there is no way he could make the kind of music that he makes. Oh well, let me just pray for him to be happy, healthy and at peace with life.  I think he wants it both ways. He wants to be faithful and fall in love with one woman...but yet like lots of men they find it hard to resist temptation. The difference with Prince and you're average joe is Prince has access to lots of women (beautiful women) because of his celebrity. Plus being away from one's wife at months at a time...living most of his adult life getting whatever he wanted from women conditions a man to expect a certain freedom...I guess... ...part of me feels like...well god only knows how many women he's had...that he got kinda tired of just using a girl for her body then like "Thank u. See ya" and having no real emotional connection...and the next night a new girl...and a new one... ...but then with one woman...I honeslty would belive he tried very hard to be faithful to both Mayte and Mani...but then he has to deal with framiliarity setting in and I think that would be hard for someone of his celebrity...I think a man with a normal life would be better able to deal with something like the seven year itch because his opportunities would be lower and maybe he wouldn't feel entitled like a celebrity would. I'm not putting Prince down...I'm definatly not saying the man is incapable of loving just one woman. I think him becoming a JW has a lot to do with humbling himself and trying to come back down to earth. It's gotta be really difficult for him to "come back home" so to speak because he really is right up there with MJ and Madonna on a fame level. One can only imagine how that kinda existance would mess with one's mind and perception of one's self due to the way people treat you and are willing to do for you just because of who you are.
