and a few days later they order them to change their site headers. what is up

Presumably this is to do with that last banner? An HQ member created it along with some wallpaper (it was based on the design of the lotus flower website but using the member's own design and stock(?) images. It was very similar in look and feel though, and Prince's symbol was the centre-piece (although again it was fan made with an abstract design to the circle part).

If it is down to that and now Aaron (HQ owner) has had enough, it really is a case of the straw that broke the camel's back. What a shame just as relations and communication between the site and Prince's camp was yielding results. sad

if this isn't just a promotional hijack and in reality aaron is actually 'in' on it - then after this I won't be spending my hard earned cash on Prince - oh yeah, I'll still get the albums - but I won't be paying for them - no way - I like the music - but if Prince is serious about this kind of behaviour/shit - well, lets just say I won't be supporting his 'habit'financially...

I can't believe that Prince has stooped so low...unbelievable - even for Prince!!

I guess this is a sign that the Lotus will b opening soon...shame on U Prince!!

Is it really hard to see? Prince set a date for Aaron - close HQ by Jan 30th or face charges.... presto, a lot of "homeless" HQ'ers to avalanche in when Prince opens his new site. I think it's that simple. shrug

Meanwhile, Org people - remember that the vast majority of HQ members have been berating the Org and its members for years and now the tables may be turned... hmmm

I agree with you. It's pathetic.

Don't you think it's due to the fact HQ mods have givenlittle infos here and there like "expect some video action" or "do not expect the 3 albums to be released on the 31st" + the info about concerts in Florida (Hard Rock Cafe).

Maybe Prince took the piss but still I thought HQ mods were keeping secrets pretty tight.

No it won't - simple as that. As for HQ having been the best fansite, no. It was immensely stupid of Aaron to let all those videos up there, it was what killed it, ultimately. Aaron thought he was bulletproof or something and he wasn't. Surprise!
