Do you feel it's ever happened to you?

Two people have come forward saying someone has been using their account to post and claims what is posted was not posted by them.

If you know or suspect it has happened to you, the best thing to do is:

* Change your password immediately (write it down so you do not forget):

* Do NOT give out your password to anyone - you know..... other orgers, family, friends, lovers, etc.

* Do NOT make your password "prince related" or too easy to guess.

* Change your password frequently.

Report any problems to the Moderators.

No, never happened to me. I know this happened a few years ago though, as well as now apparently.

I was thinking i might make out that my strikes were not me.....but i dont think anyone will believe me

If someone is being held hostage it could be done to sabatoge their identity. A manipulative and controlling person could do this to portray an orger as someone other than themselves with different intent and motivation, not funny.

Is there a way to know whether or not one's account has been hacked into if the hacker does not actually post on the boards? Orgers do exchange personal information in orgNotes and maybe need to take care.
