My debut Pop/Rock album.

Hey guys, I'd be honored if you could check out my debut album.

(pretentious cover alert)

I hope you get the vague sense of coherence and story I was going for with this tracklisting. I'm happy to take any constructive criticism about my singing or lyrics.

I understand that a lot of people here might not dig it, but I figured I'd see if it sticks with any of you. Thanks for all your help and support along the way.

Listening to the first track right now.

Sounds pretty good! Your music is melodic, that is something all too many bands seem to think secondary to a cool riff or rhythm.

Onto the second track. Also good. Production is good, too.

So was this done with a band, or players for hire, or is it just you?

Congratulations, good luck!

Wow, I didn't expect any responses. Thanks guys.

I wrote the songs, then brought some close friends into record parts over the drum tracks (which were done Peter Anderson, a great drummer from Minneapolis).

Production was done at Black Apple Productions. Chad Helmonds is a great producer and engineer.

Thank you, PANDURITO! biggrin

And hey, if you guys know of anyone who would like this music please share it with them.

The #1 response I've been getting with this music has been "It's good but it's not my style." It's one of the least helpful responses ever and kinda makes my heart sad... haha.

I hear a lot of people's music, and most of it is not very good. Yours is not only good, but it's well produced

I was just in the studio yesterday, we did backing tracks for 11 songs. I am exhausted.

Ah yeah. The instrumentals for this album were all cut in 2 12 hour days. It was the most exhausting but amazing feeling at the end of both those days.

Physical CDs are available to purchase now on the BandCamp site (I had no clue that they weren't already available, sadly. Sorry NDRU sad )

To any of you orgers who live in or near MN, I am playing a huge show at The Fine Line Cafe on 8/21. You should check it out.

Wow! Very good music, melodies and production! You've got a good voice with a distinct sound to it which makes each song even better!

Good luck with the live show and the CD!

Thank you, 2020. Sadly, the show has been canceled (or the full-band aspect of it anyway).

The1592

Well, I don't really have anything constructive to add as I'm not a good critic, but I just wanted to say I like it. Very well produced, unlike many independant artists. I grabbed it free, but I'll buy it when I get paid. Really.

I don't really know which song is best, but the one I've played the most in the last 2 days (since I downloaded it) is "What We're Too Scared To See".

Thanks, The1592! Appreciate that.

That's my favorite of the whole spiel.

Minneapolis orgers!!

I am playing an album release party at THE FINE LINE CAFE on August 21st. It'll be a free show and Peter Anderson (one of the finest drummers in minneapolis) will be playing with me.

Would love to see some of you there!
