re: Would love some feedback on some new videos from myself. Last time i showcased my first short film here entitled i. I've recently been creating more projects and would love to see what you guys think. The first video is something i created and shot this week. I've recently been selected to work with a media company called AcademyMediaUk. My position is a summer intern, mainly working on camera operating and editing. I was given the task to create an opening movie to be showcased at future gigs for a band called The Devils Blood http://www.myspace.com/thedevilsblood . I shot this movie on Wednesday and finished editing on Friday afternoon. Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLJmXvLnnvY .
The second video entitled Cry: A Visual Essay. This video was created for part of my coursework. Cry showcases nature as being abandoned by an acclerated society. This is shown and heard with the juxtaposition of the beautiful images. With constant interruptions from the time-lapse footage of aggressive quick flashs of dark images, to beautiful images being juxtaposed with sounds from an acclerated, stressful and loud working environment, the peaceful park area is flooded with noise. The video presents nature looking beautiful; but the flashes and random images that flood the screen represent their true feelings or in other words their Inner Cry.

The last video's are in regards to my recent installation entitled Xscape. The video which i'm showcasing here started off the experience. When participant's would enter individually or in a group of two, i personally would direct them to stand in a long dark corridor with strobe flashing lights, a broken door and a television. A video would play, surround sound would flood the space and amp up the tension. The video's confrontational shocking content would mentally attacked their senses. Once the video displayed the words xscape, i'd suddenly appear around a corner. The individuals would follow my directions of escaping from the threatening space they were currently in. Starring Alice Fernbank as Mother.

Would love some feedback. I would be so grateful to find out what an audience feels about these three projects.
Peace and lots of love,

Hi thapurple,
I liked Cry alot. When xscape starts is awsome..the camera and later you say in the interview it's one shot scene...but the first couple of seconds from the start is awsome..made my stomach turn. Depends on the movie of course but i like as little edits as possible. It's because of the old movies. Cry reminded me of some Tarkowsky movies.

Aww thank you so much. I'll be uploading four videos from my last installation. This consisted of placing a camera on my dog. I'll also be creating a documentary and a new horror film over the next week's.
I wish you all the best.
