I imagine many of you have heard of this, but for those who don't know, there is a site for musicians and friends called myspace. You can have your own blog, invite friends, then you can browse their profiles and invite their friends to be your friends. There is an upcoming shows section, and also your friends can leave nice comments about you right on the homepage for people to see. It's great for promotion. Also, your music starts playing right away when someone enters your site so they don't have a choice but to listen to your tunes.

If you are not a part of myspace, if you're a musician, I would say it's a great tool for you.

I like the joint. Very cool way to network. Much more effective than soundclick.com, which is just whistling in the wind. With myspace, I did a search for people who like Prince, that live in Atlanta, and invited them ALL to be my friend, so, when our gig comes up, BAM, I now have a new network of 100 people to pimp up the show.

Soundgarden is really the cat's ass for me, as far as Rawk goes.

Usually not too long... Myspace has been having some technical difficulites lately. I got lucky with the New Funk Order page... not too many problems. Try again and if it doesn't work, try the next day.
