i joined lotus cuz i wanted to show i supported the project and Prince-joining was the obvious way.....

i joined day 2-and the next day all 3 albums were on torrent sites

and look at the SHIT we got for joining-and are still getting

a pub band run their business better

so-as this has left a bad taste-the next project i'll torrent or download-but not pay for-and since ive seen him on every tour since Lovesexy-the tix lure wont wash ever again-i saw him plenty in 2007

when he played the hits for the last time.....

For me the ambiguity about what subscribers can expect has to be resolved before I will part with any money for a future site.It really is unreasonable to imply goods then not deliver.

I pretty much used to buy anything related to Prince but that was because I respected him and his music and constantly gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Create music and I'm there brother but I'm not going to support any more of these 'business' ventures. It seems I'm just as into them as he is = not at all.

I've posted before about how I feel I owe HIM for all the awesome music I [might] have that he never received payment from me for, so I try to even things out a bit when I can. Hell, to me Box o' Chocolates is worth the $77 I paid for Lotusflow3r, that's some YUMMY candy!

Prince got about .10 when I bought (for an example...) Purple Rain back in the day and I personally think that music is worth more than that to me, even still today. I support his artistic side and couldn't care less about all the other bullshit. He's never done anything wrong to me personally, so I have no ill will towards him at all. I follow him for entertainment, not to get all stressed out, I have enough of that IRL.

I don't take all this as seriously as some others. I've tried to teach myself to quit worrying about things/people over which I have no control and just enjoy things as they come.

Actually, the other day, I was reminded about my luck with 1800newfunk. While going through my collection, I found the old, nice, tall black mugs they used to sell. One had the symbol and the other the NPG logo in gold. One of them was broken in shipment, so I called, expecting to get a big hassle and be told 'sorry, you're outta luck lady!'. But to my surprise, they said they'd send a replacement, didn't have to return the broken one and received it within a week.

I also received my t-shirt in the first wave of shipments. So maybe there is something to the Karma thing, eh?
