You'd be surprised at how little Prince material and exposure there is in the UK even after the O2 residency.

I already showed my gratitude on page 1 BUT....

I get it. People are pissed because so far we've only been given what we've already seen (or most of us have seen). But I AM a hardcore fan, who got into Prince back when Musicology came out. And I joined LotusFlow3r eager to be part of an official Prince site. So stuff like the Undertaker, while I may have seen bits and piece of it on YouTube etc, is really exciting for me. In fact, I watched it yesterday and jammed along with my guitar the whole time. Now, I have blisters on my fingers.

I'm not trying to tell other people to be more "thankful" or whatever. I just want to reiterate that I am happy with LotusFlow3r so far.

I would be irritated but understanding if Prince took this opportunity to provide material most of us already have but haven't paid him for. I can't be too mad at him for "rehashing" things that never saw a wide release. Things he has gained in reputation from having created but hasn't benefited from financially.

I'm not sure how much money WB gave him for those VHS/laserdisc releases but I can imagine it probably wasn't very much. Certainly the royalties, beyond whatever advance he got (if he got one at all), wouldn't have amounted to much.

The Undertaker is a great video. It should be released on dvd someday. Not sure how that would work with WBs?

A DVD of The Undertaker was going to be released under the NPGMC banner back in 2001 - a company was commissioned to create the DVD menus in the style of the NPGMC website (they put it up on the net for awhile). In the end, all we got was a few downloadable clips.

Although it would be nice to have it in proper DVD quality, it is far from exclusive - available by legal means for a decade and a half!
