that's why I didn't join yet - you pay 77$ for a whole year but you don't know what you will get.

These terms are just not fair = pay first and we'll see what have you bought in a year's time.

You've paid for the entire year, lots of folks had trouble getting in but once you're in it's NICE! biggrin

Yeah, I didn't expect EVERYTHING to be available on Day One either.

What a bunch of moaners! It`s only the first few hours.I agree with u guys. After staring at that blank universe page 4 weeks this is more than welcome. The site is pretty easy 2 navigate & has a lot of potential. The extra Leno footage from last year is excellent & I hope the site offers more in this vein.
Would I like 2 c more? Obviously yes.
Am I prepared 2 wait? Hell yes as i`m still just digesting the wonderful MPLSoUND album.
When the tour comes around & those miserable fuckers are at the back of the arena i`ll give them a wave!
If anyone is reading these comments & wondering whether 2 join i`d say do it,jump on & enjoy the ride!

I don't like the site...I hate having to search for shit. Just show me what you got so I can click on what I like. I don't have time for seeing when my curser is going to change so I know there's something there.

Where is it stated that there will be a tour? What if there isn't? What if Prince just keeps deciding to have Hit and Runs in LA whenever he feels like it? Offering tickets on Wednesday for a show on Friday?
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

How come every time that Prince has some kind of 'interactive' website it's all fucked up? Wouldn't you think he would have his web people fix all the quirks before they launch it?

I wish all of us weren't such eager beavers to buy this shit...I should have just gone to Target to get the albums and waited on the site. It's disappointing.

Well come on...he makes us wait with anticipation all the time. We wait, wait wait and he'll give us a little smidgen of something. When it's finally released, it's disappointing.

You're right Carrie, I said on another thread it's like this is the beta site and we are the testers... they really should iron out all this before going live...

Great ideas. Bad execution. That is the Prince way. If I was going to get a membership, I would give it some time so the bugs can be worked out.

You're preaching to the choir, with that note. smile My point was the reason it's been that way and continues to be that way to this very day is because there are always "eager beavers to buy this shit".

Until the eager beavers start expecting and demanding quality for their money, there will always be shitty disappointments. shrug

You know.. I appreciate anyone who can create a website with lots of colors, fancy artwork etc.. but (and maybe it's because of my age)..I would prefer a simple site for lotusflow3r.

I mean, after all the hype.. you can get this.. you can get that.. videos.. never before seen footage..music downloads... I click on the site and have no idea where to go for anything.

A black screen with purple letters that read: VIDEOS, CONCERT FOOTAGE,PICS, DOWNLOADS, CONCERT INFO.. would suit me just fine.

I haven't had a chance to go thru the site yet.. it took me 30 minutes
just to figure out how to login/signup. But, I have to say that I'm already frustrated.

In economically challenged times we get to pay for Prince's extravagant yet non functional Web site! Ripped off!

Carrie, I sooo agree. All of this was EXTREMELY haphazard. I STILL couldn't get tix to the Conga Room and I paid $77 for three albums (2 of which I STILL can't get to unzip) a T-shirt (must wait 4-6 weeks) and a Web site that is way too indulgent - even for Prince!

I am a graphic designer who dabbles in Web work as well. The site is visually stunning with all of the details that went into creating it. It definitely took some time to create. However, I believe in a less is more philosophy to design. Being too extravagant and complicated does tend to frustrate people. Yes we're fans of Prince, and so we know he doesn't do anything basic, but at this stage in the game, I would LOVE to have a scaled back site without all of the cryptic crap, one that is more functional than glossed over confusion.

As far as Web 2.0 standards go, it's a bust! If anyone who is not a hard-core fan wandered onto his site, they'd be completely and utterly lost, period! That's horrible when it comes to a website, if a consumer can't find their way around the site, how are they going to know it's visually stunning? Come on people, the man has more money than he'll ever know what to do with and he's still asking for more. Expecting quality from his ass is not too much to ask for!

it would be kind of nice if The Host of the site posted a live video or just a video feed for a how to for people to navigate/enjoy the site instead of leaving some people frustrated. it isn't that intuitive , i can understand that. which makes it frustrating. You know, a warm welcome, thanks for coming here to my site, here is a short tour for you to easier explore.

This makes me extremely relieved that I didn't plunk down the change for this. I REALLY wanted to, believe me. As a longtime fan, you feel like you're missing out on something, and you also want to support the man's music. Still, too many times these things have gone all screwy, and the price is just ridiculous during an economic recession.

I feel for you Carrie, and all the people who are frustrated right now. I'm sure, eventually, they'll get the bugs worked out, but in the meantime it's gotta be pissing you off royally.

I agree. I get that the site is aesthetically pleasing. Obviously, it took a lot of money and hard work to create and it's advanced for what it's attempting to offer - much of which hasn't truly been seen as of yet (layout wise). However, it's a turn off for people to sit there clicking around searching for stuff and waiting long periods of time while it loads. It's like waiting for a MySpace page to load! It's not practical.
