Chicago Shows Postponed

Official Press Release:

PRINCE CHICAGO SHOWS TO BE RESCHEDULED

Due to a death in the family of NPG drummer John Blackwell , the
PRINCE shows scheduled for this week in Chicago have been rescheduled.

The show scheduled for June 28 will now play on July 22. The June 29 show will play on July 23 and the June 30 show will play on July 24.

The PRINCE show that was scheduled for June 26 will play on August 3rd,
as previously announced.

Tickets for this weeks PRINCE shows will be honored on their rescheduled
dates in July.

Those who are unable to attend rescheduled dates will have refunds issued at the point of purchase.

Our deepest sympathies go out to John and his family.

This is VERY VERY sad..... and very odd that it happened right after Prince was "sick"
Does any one know WHEN this happened?
Cause I was just wondering if maybe this happened on Saturday..... and his daughter was maybe in a coma or something.. and they were thinking she would be ok... but then she died today?????
Or maybe they are just having some bad luck....
Which ever it is I am very sorry for Johns and his wife's loss.

Wow...this is devestating! As a father of a 2 year old little girl, I am CRESTFALLEN for John. And as a Chicago Prince fan, I can attest to the fact that John was HOT on the kit on Friday night, and now this...

I thought Prince was pretty damn good on Friday as well...

I hope both are in better condition by the time the rescheduled dates come around. I'm looking at the silver lining...now I'll be seeing Prince once during each month of the summer due to these new dates!

My God. My prayers go out to John's family.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

oh Mr. Blackwell... this is so sad!

It is so sad to hear when a child has passed. My thoughts and prayers to John, his wife and the entire fam. I joked before about the shows being postponed, but really.....take all the time necessary. How horrible. God Bless.

My prayers go out 2 John and his family as well as his NPG family. If any1 finds out where cards/condolences can be sent please post the info! P must b downas well bcuz he's lost a child. This is a real bummer and believe it or not we as fans can help by really giving it our all at the next shows,they feed of off our energy and they will definitely need it!
