Peter street, the downstairs goes further back too, max 3000, would be perfect. the MEN seems to think its a favorite too. Fingers crossed! I did see a tweet a coulpe of weeks back from the the guy who promotes the venue along with the warehouse project and Parklife, about a meeting with someone big and he made some comments to Prince about 6 months ago, i thought it might have been him announced for Park life but it turned out to be Snoop Dogg. Im so hoping my feelings were right haha

The MEN would be good in the sense most of us would get in but obviously we'd prefer a smaller intimate venue. If it is the MEN do u think it will tickets?

I so hope it is The Albert Hall Perfect.

I think The Albert hall is on the money. Rwmember Tweets last week mentioning "looking forward to Ronnie and Albert" At the time everyone assumed it was Royal Albert Hall but this starting to make sense.

Flying back from Prague Fri night so glad there's gonna be a gig Saturday, with a quick trip over from Sheffield way, as been on starting blocks all week.

Blenheim Palace mentally scarred me!!!

I think this is a near definite. Now the question is, what time will people need to get in the queue to guarantee entry. I think we can safely assume there wil be no advance tickets sad. I suppose it all depends on the price. If it is £10 again, it will be bedlam. It's hard to guess really, the higher price yesterday may just have been because it was such a tiny venue. I'd like to think it would be around the £40 mark.

I think Sunday was meant to be £70 to be honest and they cut the price to stop people complaining and negative press. My guess would be between £50-70, happy to pay £70 if needs must smile

Will certainly be going Friday. Hope whatever venue they choose has the security sorted out for the queue. People will be coming from all over the north west and we want to be safe. Some of the reports from outside last night and the EB have been a bit scary.

I have Friday off from work, so I may have to journey up from Cardiff for the night in hope of catching a show...

One of my friends told me last night that I am greedy for wanting to see him play again (having been lucky enough to see him at SBE last week). Bless her... she has never seen him live! biggrin

Now... how wonderful would it be if we could actually buy tickets for these? cool

Eye like pretty things, and u're just as pretty as u can b...

Well the guy who promotes Albert Hall, and Warehouse project etc... has done a couple of tweets today so far, someone has commented on one of them asking when they will recieve tickets? I think he's drumming up interests over twitter it seems. He also have a Security firm which is good for crowd control etc... if it is definatley him running it

All of the other shows have been announced a matter of hours in advance with tickets only available on the door. I wonder if the week-in-advance announcement means advance tickets..

I can only hope lol

I've got a lot of contacts in manc for whats its worth as I know a lot of promoters. Everything is pretty much booked, apparently someone on Twitter swears down the band told them backstage it was Albert Halls. It is the only thing thats available really. The licence on the warehouse project/victoria mill has prob ran out now so thats out. Appollo, band on wall etc etc all out i've rang round. Cathedral is the only other real chance.

Victoria Warehouse is still running, Radio 6 have their festival the week after,

I've used it for a client event recently too, they have Club events in March and April, the Warehouse project "exclusive" lease might have ran out, but the venue is still operating and open to hire.

Albert Hall's twitter seems to suggest that even if they don't have the gig they certainly would like it - unless it's a smokescreen for their actually having it already. Seems the most obvious choice but that don't always mean it will be.

I think they do have it, but they are trying to put people off the scent, no other venue makes sense, and the guy who promotes it is probabaly the biggest promoter in manchester, he went to london 2 days after prince arrive for a Secret meeting, i think this was the meeting. Unless he's hired victoria Warehouse which he had a 6 month contract on last year

3hour drive to Manchester sounds better than a 6 and a half to London! Am off work Friday as well smile fri-sat shot for me! Assuming it does go ahead.

Tash I really fucking hope that it happens for you after last time eh! Where's it ur travelling from? Looking at booking a Travellodge today I think. Even if it don't happen maybe I can have a wee holiday from the civilisation of Preston to the wilds that is Manchester...

Was just thnking Jodrell Bank would certainly fit iconic but that's outdoor so it might be a bit soggy for that, dunno what their season for gigs is anyway.

[Edited 2/15/14 1:29am]

Cheers mate! Fingers crossed this time! Will be travelling down from Glasgow still a journey but a lot better than London! hope it's some of these cooler venues instead of the MEN arena if it's that it's got to be ticketed surely.

academy 1 free both nights (gigs in all 3 other rooms both nights). 2600 capacity. Manchester central free too. which has standing capacity of 12000. Both great venues and central

Aye but I thought the council only licenced it for a certain number of dates? Anyway its a good venue i'd prefer it to albert Halls. Its much bigger, folk have been saying albert is 3000 but everyone i've spoke to said its 1000. I've been in it pre refurb I cant see where 3000 would go unless they've knocked thru something?

Apparently just under 3k for the Hacienda night i'd heard, Max 'legal' capacity is 2500, but venues get away with a few extra alot of the time

I'm really excited now but really worried I'm gonna be disappointed now that these gigs are getting hyped and even cunts who would usually slag u off for Prince are tweeting and sharing links about it. It's like in the World Cup when dickheads think they know about footy - but with this I fear am gonna miss out to too cook for school mancs and fucking bbc mediacity types! Oh, how exciting and frustrating and mercurial and everything all at once. And it's still six days away!

Albert Halls twitter now looks like they're confirming it pretty much now even if it's not properly official. I'm too excited!
