Jesus.
This not rock n roll. It's more half price school disco meets Love Parade disaster.
I'm not interested in being crushed or used for publicity, nice convenient headlines tomorrow about queues around the block. Yuk.
I was on my sequin dress diet for last few weeks. I'm going to have Korma tonight.
sad

My wife and I are 50 miles away and are going to give it a punt. I'm on the fence with ticketing - either ticket on the door (only appeals to people near venue but fans only pay face value for ticket) or ticket online (site crashes, don't get tickets, pay 10x face value on fleaBay or Ripoffmasters re-sale site). We're hoping the queue is better managed at this venue (been here before for other shows).

Good luck guys!

Hope you enjoy you Korma Barbara. It is very frustrating. I would love to be able to drop everything, but from the North West of England not easy. Also have youngest daughter to mind, teenage son to taxi around and teenage daughter to drive back over the Pennines tonight to Uni. Just wish P would consider our real lives.

Might be easier on the Tube. Cab would be 25 quid at a guess. Loads of cheap hotels in Shepherds bush. Go to laterooms.com.

It is a pain but maybe he dint want touts getting a ticket. Seems demand outstrips
Supply but he is selling them cheap and fans getting tickets instead of touts.

I feel for your guys outside London you cannot just up and go.

But those waiting in line is their choice and if you wait trust me you get one of the best shows of your life.

I been ill with a cold waiting in line but thinking should I go tonight hoping for second show?

I am sure security will be better outside. Forget it taking a picture inside no chance I did not bother.
It gets so salty baby (bittersweet by Lewis Taylor)

Thing is Clare, by doing it this way he is not catering for his fanbase at all.

Selling practically free tickets to people attracts anyone with nothing to do in the general vacinity of a gig. Sure a small % of those could be real fans, but I bet the majority are just there for a free gig, with time on their hands. That's why the queues could get pretty rough also. Free stuff attracts troublemakers.

Just start selling tickets online 24 hours before hand - print them only with a barcode.
Won't stop touts totally but will cut down a bit and then everyone gets a chance. This is just useless...

Really hope all of you who go down there get it. The one thing guaranteed is a fantastic show for those who do. I'm going offline now as getting more and more fed up with the last week. Don't want to get bitter. Have fun those who make it. cool

From King's X the fastest way is:

The Tube - Victoria Line to Oxford Circus then Central line to Shepherd's Bush.

You can take the Hammermith & City Line from King's X directly, but in my experience it tends to be a slower journey.

Hotels - I'd recommend a Travelodge as they are cost effective. None near Shep Bush, but one at King's X and Euston. You are looking at £65 to £80. Close is the one at Marylebone, but not quite as convenient from King's X.

There is an Ibis hotel at Shepherd's Bush -circa £110.00 per night.

5.9 miles via road.

Tuibe: Hammersmith & City line or Circle line to Wood Lane, then changeover to Central Line for Shepherd's Bush.

Or: stay on the Hammersmith & City line or Circle line and exit at Shepherd's Bush market.

Map of the area.

Thanks Clare! I'm hoping you get a concert that's ticketed. I've got an eleventh month girl and four year old boy so had a friend lined up to pull a sicky to mind them for me. But to be honest, I won't be used to generate publicity. It's shite, I'd rather do without. And I LOVE Prince live.
Good luck to everyone trying! Be careful! Don't risk pneumonia, no concert is worth it. And obviously 3EG don't really care about negative feedback about organisation, so really mind yourselves.

70 quid is reasonable these days if they put on a show of at least 2 hours plus a small encore.

If you think 70 quid is too much in sich case, then the exchange rate of the UK pound should be adjusted.

More like 150 per 100 euro or so.

At this time:

70.00 GBP = 84.2396 EUR

1 GBP = 1.20342 EUR

Which is kinda ridiculous. Compare the fake GDP's, the understated debts, the peak oil effects on the noth sea oil wells, etc.
