However, :(

I will be out of town, so I won't be there.

I will tell you this.

on October 19th was the Rainbow Children Listening party

How old are you? There generally isn't an age limit and all would be fine, though if you're under 18 you'd fall under curfew laws, so you'd need a parent with you. 2 weeks ago there was a family there with children in the tween range. They were dancing and having a good time like everyone else.

I will add, it has been reported that the $50 donation is just that, a donation. If you don't have the dough or don't have that much you'll still be let in.

Are you really gonna sleep at a Prince party? Just wear underwear. Fromthe poster it is not a slexy pj party but a run one. Wear adult onesies.

My guess on the age limit is no, since it is a pajama party. Of course, I've only known of pajama parties for kids, never heard of adult ones.

Prince: ok 3rdeyegirl, we're having a pajama party.

One third of the girls: A what?

Prince: A pajama party.

One third of the girls: Oh......

Another third: Do we have to dress in....our....pjs?

Prince: Yes. Oh and play your instruments.

The last third (thinking to hersefl): this is weird.

To my way of thinking, it's not so much the squish factor (which is miserable, wink) but there are fire codes. Those ordinances need to be strictly observed. That's more the "limit" I was referring to. If the fire code isn't observed and something happens (God forbid), it would mean MAJOR liability.

*

Hopefully, someone will be careful to observe the fire code. They should not go over the limit. I know, I'm such a "Mom" and a stickler for the rules & safety but it's better to be safe than sorry. It's not worth the risk. nod

*

Whoever is able to get in, have a good time! biggrin

As a fan living in the Twin Cities, I am majorly on the fence about this one. Here's why:

-

1. 2AM doors open? Yikes. That's enough to wreck sleep for the weekend, and into next week. I got kids, man.

-

2. Is Prince gonna play? I assume that he will, but I have been to enough "dance parties" at Paisley Park to know it sometimes is just that. For $50?

-

3. Not to be a snob, but now that major outlets have advertised this, it's gonna be a crush of people. In pajamas. I got my Batman pj's just in case....

-

What about the rest of you local MN regulars? Going or not?

I was pretty much set against it until today (for all of the reasons you mentioned) but now I'm kinda considering it again. I may try to sleep from 9pm-12am and get up and get ready and head on over, but we'll see... I'll probably make a last minute call. And if I oversleep and miss it so be it. I've been a bunch of times, I can let others have fun this time. I have been coaching a coworker on all the details today, she can fill me in on what happened if need be.
