Definitely a greatest hits show. He covered all the bases there.

He was in a silly mood - accused Mr. Hayes of watching Monday Night Football at the back of the arena. He joked all night.

Kudos to London - on their feet all night and they filled the arena.

I think I was most surprised by The Question of U/The One. I don't know if he's played those here yet or not. I KNEW he was gonna open with Gold lol.

ALSO. I sang out loud... I'm sorry to anyone around me I know I'm a horrible singer LOL but when the man said to sing along I felt possessed and it came up outta me!

I know a certain somebody who'll have a neat story to tell. I'm a couple degrees of separation from Prince's hotel room security guard giggle

After looking at all of the other cities reviews I was thinking that it was gonna end up being a Shelby love fest but that wasn't the case tonight...just a perfect amount of her and she didn't hog the spotlight. Great Show...hot crowd...diappointed that there was only 2 encores though...

Crowd was screaming for another encore...my ears are still ringing and I'm sure my wife has lost her voice.

Awesome night!

flipped everything around, The girls sang the opening song then came Gold followed by Purple Rain. The sampler piano set was very early in the show, with some of the songs really fleshed out. Most of all of When Doves Cry, new tease with Love and Forever in my life. The show was sorta backwards from the Toronto shows that I saw and the was very cool. The last thing to say not very many cover as in Toronto either, but still all the greatest hits that we have been seeing. Over 2 hours but ended @10:50. Also real fun drivin in the snow.

have to say i liked this show better than the saturday night toronto one. the to one was more like a party all night long with prince. i was on my feet the whole night dancing and screaming like crazy. tonight's show almost felt like a jam with the band that we were allowed a sneak peek of. reminded me of james brown concert clips i have seen where the band is playing and he is just jamming along not necessarily singing.

tonight's show had some of the same songs as the to one but some nice surprising gems thrown in. and the setlist was mixed up. not the same songs in the same order.

hardly any andy allo and just enough of the 'girls' and only 1 or 2 covers.

the best part is that the to show we were on the horn side and prince spent most of the concert in the middle or on that side. this show we were on the piano side and if prince wasn't in the middle he was on that side. awesome!

(but his purpleness looked VERY tired in the beginning - large bags underneath his eyes. - he's going home to paisley park to hibernate for a while after this tour)

love me some prince fallinluv

Great show...I thought it was very telling that he went from SOTT line "We'll name it Andy, if it's a boy or a girl" straight into "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World".

The sampler set is OFF THE HOOK....classic Prince grooves set to house music electronic beats...LOVE IT.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I thought the exact same thing - he came out looking like he just woke up - all puffy face...I was afraid the show would be really tame - NOT! The energy flowing in the place was incredible. A lot more energy from the crowd than in the Friday night TO show, and even though it wasn't as long, it was better in some ways. Loved Gold, ? of U and 4ever in my life, loved that there weren't hardly any covers, and loved that it was mostly all about him instead of the band.

It was my 16 yr old son's first time seeing him. I've been trying to get him to appreciate Prince for what he is, but he never really seemed that interested. Little did I know, all I needed to do was take him to a concert! He's totally hooked now! He was talking about it all the way home (1 1/2 hr drive in the freakin' snow!) about what a great guitar player he is and how he never knew... Almost made me teary!
