Can we discuss concert overexposure here?

Can't believe this is true... there's already an event in the Ahoy Rotterdam on February 25. http://www.ahoy.nl/agenda...ll-25feb12

Tickets for this Superpull are already on sale...

so that date is off... and I don't think Prince will be playing The Kuip in February...

or Luxor...

Unless he's doing something small scale/low budget, I don't believe he can sell out another 4x 16.000 tickets in Holland for €89,- per ticket.

A dutch newspaper talked about a Prince-overkill in the Benelux the last one and a half year.

Have a look at 'The W2A: Euro Tour Song Survey' http://prince.org/msg/12/362417

I think he has to wait longer to come back and also needs a new album or something like that before he returns to Europe/Benelux

He can sell out ahoy 8 times with 69 euro tickets and post ads in the spits and metro.

Does he ever play his new album? (some songs here or there, but...)

So I think we should wait until this stuff is confirmed. Of course that might happen before we read reviews of the Canadian shows, if they are any indication at all...

No, not really. But still you never know with him. lol

And yes, i hear people talk about it(some people are saying it's real), but you never know what's going to happen. If it's real, I think we know more in a few weeks..

I think we should wait until we get this news from an official source, like the news of the Canada shows that were at least confirmed. This way some fans don't get their hopes up high based on an unconfirmed listing of American and European shows, and that he said that she said, that this one or that one knows somebody, that told somebody who think they know someone within, but still no real confirmation.lol

I think what would be really nice though, is if some Canadian fans, familiar with hotel/travel information closest to areas where the concerts are being held, would post that type info for those traveliing to Canada for some of thse concerts. biggrin

The first 5 dates are on Ticketmaster:

I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

When I was in Montreal for his June concert we stayed at the Inter-Continential. And that is where Prince was staying too!

10-01 Rio and 16-01 Rotterdam? I doubt it. Plus no Belgium, where he had a good time and following last year. 4 times Rotterdam seems like too much. I'd say this is as fake as fake could be.

Edit:

Beside, Ahoy is booked for European tracktorpull on the 25th of February.

Yeah, I agree.

But I do think that he comes back soon next year, that's the only thing I think.

16-01 ROTTERDAM
17-01 ROTTERDAM
18-01 ROTTERDAM

25-02 ROTTERDAM

why would he do a schedule like this if this tour is really setup beforehand? (So not as in the summer when it was more like a first-come first served basis)

And yes, it looks pretty soon after the last concerts to me.

It would be really cool if he did another U.S. tour, but I would much rather have a new album. It has been too long (for me anyways).

Purple Music is my drug and I'm jonesin!!!!!

I think 3 times in Holland would be too much.

He could pull if off and sell the tickets. However, I also think the longing for him is what made Holland go crazy over him.

It would be too much, too many, too soon.

London for three nights however, is a very good idea.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Yes, you're right... this can't be true... I think Prince is doing a worldtour... and after Welcome 2 America, Welcome 2 Europe and Welcome 2 Canada, Welcome 2 Australia or Welcome 2 Asia would make more sense...

It's a good concept. But bad if he wants to promote new music.

He is expected to come back early 2012 to Europe. It was "rumoured" by the same person that announced the Canada tour on twitter.
