Wow, a show at a small venue too? LA fans are getting spoiled with ice cream and cake with all these shows. How lucky they are.

Yep -- it's a sad day for those of us w/o tickets. cry

I saw the Foo Fighters there back in Feb and it was awesome. See my pic -- it was taken from near the BACK!

Maybe we will have another chance!

That "jam" between Boom and Let's Get It On was like... 20 minutes long. Maybe have been separate "sections" but not really sure, hahaha.

Yeah..

That "Jam" section could have been 4 or 5 different grooves...

I wish Prince weren't so anal about ppl recording his shows. I'd love to just be able to go to YouTube and watch this stuff. *shakes head*

My friend had a mid-term and couldn't go with his girlfriend that had won tix from 92.3. By chance, we ended up sitting right next to them on the 4/30 show so they thought me for the extra tix!!!

I was an excellent co-pilot...took her a way that cut off 20 min our drive compared to following her GPS...found parking across the street...no hard tix so everyone was Will-call so the line stretched around into the alley which is where I was...

when we got there I told her to go check on the right side of the entry just in case she was on the V.I.P. list...SHE WAS!!!...she called me and I RAN...we ended up 3 feet from the stage.

It was epic to be there and hear the rarities.

I marveled as he was creating onstage... Band Leader Emeritus.

He even took Ida's bass and showed her what he wanted her to do since she did not pick-up his directions.

All-in-All, a nearly flawless performance...him calling for security while he wasin the middle of a song was a downer.

THANK YOU MONICA!!!

I was there at the first show and it was another wonderful experience. By the end of the show I made my way up to the front of the stage and saw Prince from all of a few feet away.

One thing about the setlist...I have the song "I Love U But I Don't Trust U Anymore," from Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic on my list and I haven't seen it on anyone else's list.

I had a great time. To see Prince in an intimate venue like that...priceless. Wish I could have stayed for the second show but my legs and back were aching...felt like jelly. I'm hearing more of the hard rock-oriented songs coming from the second set so I can't help but feel a little envious...but I was very fortunate to get in the first show and be so close to the stage.

You're right, it came in as the ending of Somewhere Here On Earth, I think...

Thanks to someone who streamed the lot (over 90 minutes)

Boom sounds inspired and long. If this an showcase for one of the NSJ2011 shows I'll be happy.
