I think we should wait until we find out if this info is from a credible source. I think this is just a rumor for now. Let's see if it gets announced on Drfunkenberry's page or the mods at moquake.com gets a confirmation from the Prince camp.

udewast

does anyone know of any pre sale info for the new Feb 7th show? i wasn't aware of the presale for the Dec. 29th show until it was over, but wonder if I could get a better seat.

Also any word on the opening acts for Jan. 18th. I can't figure this whole thing out. Why add one show at a time and only in NYC? The man has got me wondering....

That is great news for the fans who could not attend the other shows. And for the fans who did attend one or all the MSG or IZOD SHOWS; because his fans can not get enough of Prince. To be present at several Prince concerts is: "Joy in Repitition" "All The Critics Love[PRINCE] in New York".

Maybe he will sing some songs from 2010 for the ones who were complaining that he is only singing the "old songs". You all know who you are!mad

it's not complaining it's stating fact that a entertainer with so much cataloge 2 choose from, 2 only LIMIT himself because some can't get out of the mid 80's.

hearing him announce another date just is him just dragging his heels about doing the rest of the songs in the back of the tour book that haven't been played yet.

2 each their own tho

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

why is it shit? u should know by now i'm not the type that can say everything is golden with prince. i'm not that blind but some choose 2 be and that's fine, but not everyone will be and that's the truth of the matter. just search the org lately, am i the only one that voices this displeasure of his setlist? nope but i will be the most vocal about it ..belive that!!

now will those voices continue 2 be heard and be free from persucution by the fammies on this site that will proudly say that if prince chose 2 get on a stool and eat a bag of fritos for 2 hours and say IT WAS THE BEST CONCERT EVER? nope it will be just the same if he did a show with nothing but new material or material from his past few albums only bitching about HE DIDN'T DO LITTLE RED CORVETTE!!

While I can understand why Prince may choose to keep playing songs from his early hey day, I agree with you L40A, and so would my 7 year old son. There are a bevy of songs he hasn't played in a long time, or ever that I would rather hear than the same old Purple Rain/1999/Around the World In a Day?etc. One of the highest points for us long time fans was hearing the live spin that Prince would put on a song. Nowadays we get the same songs, with the same spin.

Is it shit to say that we would like to hear an extended live version of Laydown (I know this was a hot topic when 20Ten came out) or any of his more recent songs? Don't get mad at the messenger that's not afraid to say what you are really thinking (and wishing).

rolleyes you bragging about it that you were is the smartass comment here. i didn't mean it like that. i mean it like i wish he'd play that song at the actual show. too bad it was only at the aftershow for a smal group of people.

Purplemook,

In Vegas at the 3121 club I remember Prince singing "Joy in Repetition" at two shows I attended..

Also, "Beautiful Strange", a bit of "Calhoun square" at Nations Club in DC.. He did "Empty Room" (during soundcheck) at the Empire Ballroom in Vegas back in 2006 as well, He did "Forever in my Life" at Butter's restaurant in 2006. So just to name a few, he's done quite a few different tracks between his 2006-2007 run. Sometime during that time period I believe he also did "Pink Cashmere", but can't remember which show that was. So you never know what he will pull from under his hat at any show. No one expected to hear him sing "Question of U" (using the Gingerbread lyrics), on 12/18 @ MSG, and he did a great job with that one. We shall see.
