No idea if that's true or not, but that's what he said.

As I mentioned in an earlier post on this thread, other events were already on the Apollo calendar for this week, Paul McCartney is scheduled for tomorrow, 12/13 and then there's a different event hosted by Victoria Rowell on 12/16.

International superstar Paul McCartney performs live before an invited audience at the Apollo Theater. This invitation-only concert is a special “thank you” from SiriusXM to their subscribers. The legend plans to perform selections from his solo career and other familiar tunes.

The event will be simulcast on five SiriusXM channels including the month-long limited channel “Paul McCartney’s Band on the Run Radio,” as well as Howard 101, Classic Vinyl, The Coffee House and ‘70s on 7.

Between now and the days leading up to the concert, SiriusXM Radio will host contests for their subscribers to win limited tickets. You must have been a SiriusXM subscriber continually since November 15, 2010 to participate. For details, visit www.sirius.com.

Uptown Dance Academy presents
15TH ANNUAL BLACK NUTCRACKER
Thursday, December 16 at 7 p.m.

Tchaikovsky’s timeless holiday classic is brought to the legendary Apollo stage with an all African-American cast. The dances range from ballet to hip-hop and feature the music of Tchaikovsky, Duke Ellington, the Commodores and live African drumming. The performance is hosted by Victoria Rowell of "The Young and the Restless." Special guests include Misty Copeland and Tobin Eason of the American Ballet Theater.

Proceeds from the event help to provide additional support for the Uptown Dance Academy’s programs.

Despite the weather, it was great meeting "banks" and "newpwrsoul" and others whom I can't remember their names...enjoyed a great dinner afterwards...have a great week everyone! Looking forward to the reports wink
