Welcome 2 America Shows - Opening Songs Wish List

More times than not, Prince has opened his show with Let's Go Crazy--or at least it has been one of the first 2-3 songs (I know there have been some exceptions to this). What song(s) would you like to see him open with for the upcoming Welcome 2 America concerts?

...and let's be realistic folks. We know he's not going to open with Head and Sexy MF.

I think I would like to see him open with My Name is Prince. Looking forward to your thoughts...

Yeah, that would be a great start. I am looking forward to seeing how much 20Ten music he plays at these concerts. I definitely hope he plays Laydown...with that guitar. dancing jig

I thought the Future Soul Song was a GREAT opener! He just kind of appeared and went into this beautiful song...I *loved* it. And since this will be a R&B/Funk type of show, I'd say this is *perfect*

On a side note though...I always think Let's Go Crazy is a great song to open with...or Musicology! That's my top 3 biggrin

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

Everybody Love Me..... Not because I really like it (goofy track) but Eye would want 2 c the look on all the fans faces who only know his "hits" and c the look on their faces if he opened with it

Honestly, AMERICA makes the most sense but Beginning Endlessly would put a big smile on my face biggrin
got Prince?

I hope he fools everybody and does something totally different like Thieves in the Temple or The Continental or something he hasn't played in years.

Anything really that's really powerful, really energetic, that will make everyone's jaw drop! A grand entrance is a must. "Let's go crazy" is OK with me, also "Fury" would be cool (like the SNL performance), Dreamer—something guitar heavy, even Stratus could be OK (although I prefer one of his own songs). Like someone mentioned, something we haven't heard in a long time would be great, "My Name is Prince", "Gett Off", "Thunder", "America", there's just too many to list.

I was thinking recently that it would be cool to see him

open a show with a rousing version of Party Up! party

the purple medley thus getting rid of all the hit material right from jump then focus on the music from at least 3121, lotusflow3r, mplsound and 20ten

but this would make too much sense

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
